So you can only honor one person on your team now with the new honor system

The new honor system definitely looks good, and it's a step in the right direction for giving players who play and act well the credit they deserve. However, from my past experience, I liked to give more than one person on my team an honor. I was under the impression that with the new system, you would select one person in the honor screen, and then you would have the choice to honor more in the post game if you so wanted to. But you don't, the option is just grayed out. I feel that this system will cause more people to beg for honors (even if they don't get honored, it's not gonna stop them really).

You also can't honor your opponents anymore, from what I noticed. If anything, being an honorable opponent is just as good if not better than being an honorable teammate. The flairs, honor rewards, etc are all nice and promising, but a lot was removed in the process. One step forward, two steps backwards if you will.

I asked why we weren't able to honor more than one teammate on a thread awhile ago, and one Rioter said that they are looking into a way to make it so you can honor all your teammates again.

They plan to add in opponent honoring soon, but shipped it to live with teammate-only to get it to us ASAP.

As for only honoring one: that's to make the rewards feel more... well, rewarding. Let's not just make honor rewards into participation trophies.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I agree it's nice to honor everyone who deserves it. On the other, only being able to honor one means that getting it means something. Maybe adding just one more would be a happy middle ground.

Was surprised by this today... the game finished and I Morgana definitely had in mind 2 teammates, that helped make the game fun + we won... honored adc Draven and wanted to get jng Khazix as well, but it went away This needs to get fixed to allow multiple team-mates or even 1/2 enemy team honors. IMO when you do well in a game it's usually because of at least 3+ ppl being 'honorable' on your team.

They made it that way because then you put actual thought into who you're honoring. Before it was just a number, but now when you see someone with a high rank you know that they did well for the honor and put good effort into their games. Also, I forget where, but they said they will eventually make it so you can honor your opponents.

It's also a bit disheartening that you have to honor someone before the post-game chat. Post-game chat is often when we have the opportunity to talk to opponents, to exchange tips, to give advice to beginners. You can't do all that while playing the game when the match is still ongoing. And I want to honor and thank people with whom I have meaningful discussions...

One interesting thing is that I've found it's hard for me to get honor from teammates in ARAM because they don't appreciate a tanking ally. They just look at the kills and deaths and not at all the helpful items I've bought like the Iceborn Gauntlet and Frozen Mallet and Rylai's and just be like...yeah I'm going to honor the guy with the highest number of kills...I had 51 assists that game. 11 more than the next highest on our team. I was definitely honor worthy and maybe if there were extra honors I'd have got an honor, but as it is I don't expect to harvest much honor from playing ARAM because I have a tendency to go tank more often than not because few else wants to and doing it greatly increases my chance of winning.

I think people have been skipping the honor page a lot.

That is my concern when I don't see the leaf on the person I honor or any honor myself. (2 people not getting honor, can't honor yourself, means that the people I'm specifically seeing get some of that honor are not necessarily what I'd call deserving in a couple of these games.)

EDIT: Didn't know premades couldn't honor eachother, but something still seems like it's not working as intended here.

Honor system is already being abused by trolls.

Just like every single honor system they had before.

They should just do it like mobile legends, where afks. harassers, feeders, and etc get punished harshly and dont get rewards. (Goes through the system) Not everyone that isn't honored and may not even be a troll gets punished. They kinda have that, but it's not as strictly enforced and it's kinda a joke right now.

Theyve mentioned they are gonna add ways to honor multiple people and honor enemies. This is just kinda the starting point I guess to see how it goes with the full playerbase. I personally like it, althought if I have a team full of amazing people I like to honor all of them so hopefully that gets added soon.

I kinda feel bad only getting to honor one person.
