So I finally get into my promos for gold, and after looking up the people in my game I am surprised. For some reason I am getting paired against low Plat and high gold when I am only silver 1. I think riot needs to find a way to balance out the system because it is just absurd the rank differences of my team to the enemy. It is usually like this : 2- Silver 1, Gold 5, Gold 4, Gold 5 on my team and then Plat 4, Plat 5, Gold 2, gold 3, and Gold 1 on the enemy team. How does this even come close to fair?

It's because your MMR is high and/or theirs is low. Stop paying attention to the rank so much, it's the MMR that's important. If you're matched against ranks higher than you, it means good things about your skill and you should realize that you're perfectly capable of holding your own against them. Differences in rank aren't as big as you think they are. A Plat 4 isn't automatically way better than a Gold 4.

OP go look at my ranked games. My promos to gold v, I had all silver 1-2 and my enemies were ALL play 3-5. I still won pretty easily all 3 without losing any game. My promos from gold v to gold 3 had one diamond v. Again I won 2 games.

Like someone told me, mmr that is hidden from us is what really count. The fact is the game did bump me from gold v to gold 3 because of that. So it will probably do that with you. I'm sure like me when you win games you get 35+ lp per game and you lose like 10 lp. I get to 100 in 3 games if I don't lose any.
