Time before games

Recently, in ranked or draft, I have had times where everyone picks where to go and when someone does not pick correctly the entire lobby starts scrambling to pick other lanes with little to no communication. This is due to only have about a minute to pick a champion when you were in a completely different mindset. I have now been banned twice from playing again due to trying to figure out who to pick when everyone is going nuts. Is there a way that as a team you can extend the champion pick timer that way when this happens you have more that a few seconds with total strangers during these events?

Temp Banned or had long dodge timers?

Long dodge timers. I just feel like this could be avoided some how. I wanted to play the game and I was sitting there the whole time while waiting in the lobby.
