Hard stuck in Bronze

Hello, just a post about my thoughts about my failure to climb as a player in ranked. I have been playing league avidly since December 2015. I started one tricking Cassiopiea about 5-6 months ago, who is considered a very strong mid laner. I pride myself on having a decent mindset, not tilting over losing kills or getting killed. I tend to stop playing when i get tilted. I don't blame team mates. I am extremely positive. that is not the problem. i simply fail to improve. I have seen the same advice a million times, however it always seems that i get steamrolled by people who just go through the motions and don't make an effort to watch the map or track jungler cs or try to control vision or anything. I was wondering if anyone is/has gone through the same thing.

Hello! I am a platinum support main - I would be happy to give you some advice. I'll try to cover concrete things with specific goals, rather than 'ward more' .. ect ect.

1.) Any champion can take you to gold in my opinion. Over 90% of the cast can take you to platinum. I am a believer in playing a single champion very well. Keep going with Cass, and get your build down. Your thoughts should always be on the game, not on what your building.

2.) After checking your profile, the single biggest thing you can do to raise through the ranks is to die less. I know that seems basic, but I notice that on many of your games, you die over 8+ times. I want you to start focusing on dying 5 times or less on each game. This will teach you to be a SAFER player, and that is a critical skill to rise through the ranks.

3.) If you have advantage in lane, and have killed your opponent once or twice, do not be afraid to roam. Cass can pull of some terrifying initiates with her ultimate - a trip or two bottom post level 6 can be huge. Especially if your BOT lane is struggling.

4.) Always be looking at what champions are buying, and how many deaths/kills they have. Always have a rough idea of how powerful a player is. If top is getting fed, you should know about it immediately. If someone is fed - stay away from them and only fight them as a group.

5.) I feel like you are doing this already, but make sure your focusing on your own play, rather than if you win or lose. Did you play the match well? what could you have done better that game? Do not look at if you won or lost. The best of the best lose about 40% of their games, so don't think that a loss means your a bad player.

Hope it helps - goodluck out there!

Sometimes, you just get unlucky a lot with your teammates. Masochistically blaming yourself isn't always the answer.

Basically, you have 3 options to climb.

1.Git so gud that you can hard carry every game, even with feeders, trolls, and afks. This is optimal but a lot harder than people let on. 2. get lucky and get carried a lot(unlikely, but happens) 3. Git gud enough that when your team isn't complete trash you can carry, and endeavor to be as carryable as possible.(How i'm climbing)

Sometimes, it's absolutely your teams fault that you lose, and sometimes, you don't get lucky and get multiple shit teams in a row, which can prevent you from climbing. Say you play 5 games today and 3 you have a feeder, afk, or troll on your team. I know statistically its very unlikely and its more likely that the troll is on the other team, but, statistically youre also more likely to be struck by lightning than win the powerball, and people have won that twice and never been struck, so sometimes you beat the odds in a good way, sometimes you beat them in a bad way too. What you need to do is become good enough that whenever you have a half decent team, you can carry.

I have to agree with the comment on the bottom. Cassiopeia is a high skill cap champion, she requires you to be solid in landing well placed skill shots and often requires more advanced techniques such as orb walking to be used to her full potential.

You gies dont think i can climb with Cass? You r probably right, me being bronze and not practiced in basic macro mechanics, but even after 5-6 months... thats fruistrating

Your profile is silver according to OP. You and I started the same time, have nearly identical win rates and you've played more games. At that win rate you have to just grind games out. Otherwise the win rate has to increase significantly to climb faster. Looks like you're fine.

One question, why don't you play more Sion? Your win rate is significantly higher then when you play Cass.

Good luck!

Also? The whole carry yourself is great advice if you can and you play a champ that is considered a carry champ. I climbed w/Sona so I haven't carried many games. Maybe one out of 288.

I am only trying to help. You get out of bronze by hard carrying 4 retards.

Don't listen to anyone about Cass. She is a great pick and you should one trick and spam it.

The problem too me seems you are reading high elo tips.

You don't have the mechanical skill to lane AND track the other data at the same time.

Subscribe to summoner school sub-reddit. That place is a gold mine and far better than these forums. Make notes for yourself to improve each game. Use Moba Alytics to see what your weak areas are.

Just don't overload yourself because you know diamond and above players can track the entire map while csing and trading.

Focus in a few things at a time. Spend your next five games just saying I am gonna look at the map once every 10 seconds. Once you get in that second nature habit, add to it.

IMO you should probs play less mechanical required champions in bronze and focus on map control/objectives.

If you enjoy playing Cass - you could also try switching up your build to use some type of magic pen (void staff) and not buying Abyssal Mask as it does nothing for you (ROA is also strong). You should also try using 12/18/0 with Stormraiders for masteries and should look into upgrading your runes off teir 1/2 (runes will be free next season so might not be the best purchase). I also looked through your games and some of them you have placed as little as 3 wards, try dropping a few more wards to help yourself or your jungler out. Just these few things alone should help with the bronze climb. If you looking for advice you can add me if you'd like.

damn, i see you're gold now. I've been playing since 2014 (only started playing seriously for less than a year), and still hardstuck bronze. I just grind out games, and actually win my lane most of the time but constantly get a bot lane that fights with eachother or a jungler that just gets toxic for no reason. I know it has been 2 years since this you posted this, but if you could give some tips to get out of bronze that'd be great. (ive peaked b1 max and failed 2 promos so i just gave up :/) http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=aruke (btw, last season i was b2 because i only started playing ranked seriously in October and won my placements for season 9 with 6w and 2L)

I wouldn't mind playing some norms with you or reviewing some of your replays to try and help you figure it out.
