Lucian is a broken champion

Are there any lucian balance changes in the works? I main adc and as is I feel like every time i play against lucian I feel like the lane is lost before it begins. For starters he can harass from out of range of most, if not all other ad carries, to spite his incredibly low range. His damage output makes it so you cant actually trade with him because he will almost always win. and his passive makes him amazing at taking towers! There is no room for counterplay or outplay. Im pretty much forced to ban him every game or have a guaranteed loss in the bot lane. I know i cant be the only person who has a problem with this champion.

Vayne is a hard counter for Lucian, and has more end game appeal. For the time being Lucian's a great early/mid game champ that lanes very well. If you have a Leona or Braum with you on voice, it helps a ton. Lulu can handle a Lucian well also. The support you have plays a huge part of being able to keep him from snowballing.

I feel that Lucian needs a rework. Not because he's so unbalanced but because he's become so homogenized. He's literally if Graves and Sivir had a baby. Just IDK, make him more Lucian-y, and not Graves-y or Sivir-y. Or better yet, give Graves and Sivir some love so that it's not all about Lucian.

I'm level 23, non smurf. I played a game last night against a silver 2 lucien with over 500 wins and their jungle was a kha'zix who was also silver 2 with over 500 wins, and their mid Lane xerath must have been a smurf. I played caitlyn with a sona support, lucien had soraka. despite being camped most of the laning phase by both their jungle and mid laner, I left laning phase 2-1-2, sona 2-1-2, with all kills on lucien and soraka. Unfortunately they got more kills because our mid and jungle kept coming bot too despite us telling them not to and to take the empty mid Lane tower, but regardless the point is he's definitely beatable in Lane. Oh, I should also mention I had 20cs on him at the end of laning phase too, and our jungle took a dragon. I keep mentioning laning phase because we lost the game badly (when the only 2 decent players on your team are adc and support, you're not stopping a fed jungle and mid laner, especially when your Lane opponent is pretty good). regardless, it taught me how to own lucien with caitlyn. traps are free wards, push hard when no one comes and back off hard when you get vision or a trap goes off. Farm under tower. Play safe and wait for your opportunity to strike. And clear the wave whenever you can to keep your tower up.

The thing is if you know how to play Lucy then YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY LUCY.... if you don't then Lucy is about as useful as chopsticks to eat soup. But like any person with thoughts and feelings if you are experiencing a struggle against Lucy then you need to think on your feet and go outside of your box for your build and remember how to counter an AD accordingly. Remember that most of his stuff is in a straight line so zig zag a lot down lane and keep him guessing. I've gone up against him as both a support, Nami, and as an ADC, MF, and the best thing you can do is move around a lot because while he can harass from a distance he can't do cc that well and he's a squishy bug. So either outbuild him or out maneuver him.

He's a strong laner.

Fortunately, his late game is pretty shitty. If you're twenty CS down on a Lucian as a Tristana, you're still gonna be a hell of a lot more useful to your team past thirty minutes. And if you manage to go even in farm, he might as well be AFK in teamfights for all the impact he'll have.

Honestly, I hate how many effective free stats his passive gives. The champ won't ever be balanced until they fix double tap. I don't mind his escapabillity but when you look at his passive and really analyze it you instantly will easily find unnoticed stats that make him a bully early, middle, and late.

Right now I'd rate him as the first if not second best AD right near Yasuo mid lane.

Why?

Yasuo passive doubles crit on all attacks. Doesn't mean as much if you don't eventually build some AD. Free's him up to build AD items but he does have to get through an early game. His CC though provides an unmeasure aspect for comparison and his mobillity is more sickening which is the only reason I rate him above Lucian.

Lucian's passives, while they only apply to auto-attacks after an abillity, his abillities have a relatively short cooldown and because it applies to AA after an abillity he gets full effectiveness of his AD, crit, bonus crit damage, armor pen with his passive. Ultimately, there isn't a stat that doesn't work with it. Making this passive far superior to Yasuo. Effectively this passive provides similar damage output in the crit perspective but the fact that it measures in all other stats makes it vastly superior.

If that's not enough think about this, an extra attack with an extra chance to crit. Consider the following with an inf edge. Normally using an abillity on lucian i'm usually in auto attack range. Lets consider getting my normal AA and my passive double tap after an abillity with just an inf edge.

25% to crit the first AA 25% to crit the second AA from double tap
80-AD applies to both along with any of my existing AD/armor pen crit chance Since each AA is 1/4 chance to crit you could expect this short AA sequence to crit once about every other time you use it.

Now consider the full lucian burst (minus ulti) that's 6 AA's with full benefits of any armor pen ,+80 damage to each, and on average you guarantee 1-2 crits each time you made this trade. Now I don't know the damage math 100% so this is just a guesstimate based on Infinity edge alone. But 80 * 6 = 480 + 90(bonus damage on 1.5 crits) = 570 / 2 = (235 effective bonus damage just from having double tap and inf edge. Doesn't seem like a whole lot? Now factor in all his other stats * 3 AA and add it to 235. You should see why this passive scales so well. TOO WELL to be considered balanced.

Until they do something similar to what they did to Kassadin's or Kogmaw's utlie.... preventing it from being spammed nonstop or in Lucian's case "such quick succession" he won't be balanced.
