Why demotions are easier than promotions

Can someone explain to me why i have to win 3-5 games in "promos" to be promoted, but not lose 3-5 games in "demotions" to be demoted, the system makes no sense imo. You can maybe lose a few at 0lp the first time, but if you're demoted re-climb to that previous rank through promos - the next time you drop to 0LP and lose, you are instantly demoted instead of losing a best of 3.

Can you explain to me why it's harder to climb a ladder then falling down one?

Demotions work differently from promotions. You are usually demoted if your MMR just much lower than your actual rank.

Also, it does take around 3-5 games before you are demoted. I've already lost 3 games at 0LP in Silver 1 and I have not been demoted.

Or we could just get rid of promos.
