Why do you allow teammates to ban the champion you said you were going to play?

I can see no tactical/practical reason why this would be useful or should even be allowed. All it does is create tension/fights when someone in your team accidentally or purposefully bans the champion you were going to play.

Because bans always take priority over personal champion preference. If someone on your team wants to ban their counter but you want to play that champion, that is secondary. There is a bigger effect to the game and your team's win probability for the other team to possibly get a hard counter pick or a champion that will destroy your team comp.

That makes no sense.

It makes perfect sense and it's pretty much verbatim what Rioters have said about it. You don't have to like it but it's not going to change.

Saying it is verbatim to what Rioters have said doesn't actually improve the argument. If Rioters were right half the time this would be a better game.

Because each player get their choice for ban.

Today is June 29th. You're in solo queue rank. Your bot lane hovers Qiyana as their intention.

You call it crazy, but I've had some of my best games with Qiyana from day one.

That may be so, and I may also have had great games first timing a champion as well. But estimating that a person would likely not perform to standard when they are first timing a champion in ranked is still a reason. A reason exists for doing so.

If you are picking flavor of the month champions or just highly contested champions and you're not first pick, expect your champion to get banned since that player doesn't want to deal with it on the enemy team. That is all, no need to fight amongst each other.

Depends on the circumstance. Last patch when morde was even stronger than now, If someone on our team wanted him but they were super low pick I'd just go ahead and ban them, because the enemy team was very highly likely to get him instead. Started doing that after that scenario actually happened.
