I can't believe it's been this long and snowball is still in ARAM.

It has ruined what used to be a fun game mode, and solid team fight practice. In a world where Riot is so worried about balance, how can you have a summoner spell that allows you to fly halfway across the map, deal true damage similar to ignite, on a 40 second cooldown? It doesn't help "teams with no engage" when high engage champs take the spell too, because without it they are at a disadvantage.

It just seemed like such a lazy fix. At least give it a 300 second cd like flash. So now, instead of awesome 5v5 skirmishes, we have everyone just sitting under tower throwing random snowballs, and those who don't, are at a total disadvantage.

It may do true damage, but it is an utterly insignificant amount. Plus, in ARAM before the snowball, melee classes were utterly obliterated by any mage or marksman. Now all classes have a fighting chance.

My issue is that it has a ~40 second cooldown

You can't deny that it is so out of balance compared to the other summoners

I'm actually glad that they added snowball permanently. It made a ton of champions viable on the map and through doing that put a weakness in the armor of ARAM only accounts.

It doesn't even do that much damage (15-100) so squishies lose out by taking it instead of ignite (70-410). They also tuned it over the next couple patches after it was added in range and damage.

How so? At most, ARAM-optimized accounts simply bought the new OP champs. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any previously strong champs that became bad due to Mark/Dash.

I mean that in the sense that it's no longer optimal to have 5 range poke champs if the enemy has even one hard-engage champ. Now you can actually engage on them and they have to save some of their cc in case you jump on them instead of poking with it off cd.
