Why am I being matched against these people?

I was duo with a friend yesterday. I am level 13 he was level 24. Everyone on our team was sub level 30. I know nothing can be done about smurfing other than possibly raising the level they're matched with based on win rate and performance. So if a level 19 wins 90+% of his games then he could get matched with level 30s up to gold. But they had a plat 1 on their team. I feel as though if a plat 1 duos with a level 21 smurf or not at the least they should get matched against people closer to the plats elo and not his. Because there is a 50% chance that the person they lane against is a legit low level player which means theyre going to get super fed and ruin the game for the other team.

Or we could just get rid of the whole leveling system

But the leveling system is there for a reason. Its to make sure someone who is new doesnt play ranked. If there was no leveling system then no one would go straight into normals. They would immediately play ranked and thus lower elos would mean even less because bronze and silver would be full of people who don't know how to attack move, dodge skill shots at all, etc etc. But I feel as though just like in ranked how if I have a huge win rate that I might play against plats as a silver or low gold that if a low level player is winning a lot then they should play against 30s up to gold and no longer get matched with sub 30 players. This way smurfs wont ruin new players games anymore. Also higher elo players cant just get into a premade party with level 5s and shit on newer players. If you are level 29 or lower and duo with a plat then there should be no sub 30s on either team other than that player. People take advantage of the matchmaking system to stack teams in their favor.

That isn't why there's a leveling system.

Why should someone be forced to play at the same mmr? It's not good for the community and creates the current state of bronze and silver. It's absurd how bad these guys are because they NEVER see examples of good play and if they do they think it's a fluke and think they're great for going 12/10 when someone carried 18/3.

You can't always play against people of your same skill. That's a fact. That we're catered to AT ALL in that respect is the real joke. That player will now know what NOT to do when they face someone much more skilled. But it's the SAME game no matter WHO you queue against. You can queue into fakers leblanc and win if you're careful, patient and have help from your team. That's proven in the LCS. But what you seem to think is that cause you're bad or your team mates are bad that it's ok to be bad and say that way. It's not. You learn the most from facing higher skill opponents. Banning them from your games because your mmr is low and it's not fair... is just bullshit.

Yes a level 12 player can win against fakers leblanc. Do you realize how stupid that sounds. It has nothing to do with same elo. But having someone who has played maybe 30 games play against someone with over 1000 games played is a horrible experience.

They will ALWAYS land against someone with more games. ALWAYS. Playing against people who are better than you is how you get better. RIOT shouldn't coddle less experienced players. It's not a horrible experience. It's a learning experience. If you never face anyone that's much more skilled than you then you'll never know how to beat them. Truth is that it's the same game at the beginning. Every time. It seems you haven't figured out that it's not your opponents skill most times but your own mistakes that lose you a game.

This problem exists, they denied it exists, low level matches will continue to be imbalanced as hell.
