Why do I gain 16 lp to lose 22
I'm silver 2 is there a way to prevent me from losing more than i'm gaining or its a silver 2 thing.

because your mmr is bad and you're not playing well enough to keep your rank.
when you are matched against lower people and lose you lose more lp, also if riot thinks you are supposed to be in a lower elo you will lose more lp per loss, but its more the former then the latter
