Rune combination stat bonus and Adaptive stats are killing game diversity

This might sound confusing considering how much utility - especially keystones - runes are providing. But when it comes to diversity, it doesn't really matter how strong the runes are, instead, it comes down to player's choices. Players don't get to CHOOSE.

Let me throw out some examples.

So back in the old seasons, champions like Sona, Lulu, or basically any autoattack based harassing champions COULD use hybrid pen or AD instead of the most famous magic pen or armor. Full tank rune zyra was a thing too. You could literally pick up any base stat you want in runepage - and then your mastery jumps in for bigger impacts. Still, thunderlords full tank rune zyra, fervour attack speed rune lulu, or maybe even something like, full magic pen + AP rune thunderlords sona to feel the burst damage.

Many different playstyles were available. Those all play out differently. Some of these were even competetiviely viable! This is what made league the greatest game in the world, and what made players stay.

But where did all the customizations go?

What makes it bad is BONUS STATS from rune combination. It seemed like rune combination would enable a lot of different playstyle, but no, it doesn't. Combination stat bonus makes it infinitely worse.

So let's say I want to play Conqueror Aatrox. secondary rune? Resolve is literally forced due to aatrox's nature. What if i really want to use hextech flash on aatrox but can't use it because rune combination just doesn't give me that stat i really need?

What if i'm fighting teemo and i really want Predator, but in order to CS under turret i desperately need attack speed, which makes me go secondary precision, but then i'm fighting teemo, so i need resolve during the laning phase? I didn't ask for the AD from domination. i just need the predetor ability, attack speed and HP!

What if i'm a lulu support who wants to be really aggresive with autoattacks, but still wants to shield my ADC with aery? Sorcery Precision? I mean i didn't ask for the AD or AP though. I want Aery, Attack speed, and HP! Even worse, I wanted to auto attack harass so i needed AD? I never asked for 18 AP! can i get 11 AD instead please?

Some of the examples might be not ideal but I'm sure you'll get the point by now.

riot, can you just allow players to pick which set of stat bonus they want to take? Also, can you let players choose whether they want 1) fixed AD 2) fixed AP 3) adaptive ADAP bonus?
