Job well done on Soraka

I'm finally starting to get used to her new kit and I must say that she is really fun! Thank you guys for reviving the first champion that I ever bought. Much love! She plays in the same vein as Janna and she really does feel like the ultimate healer! Congratulations on this amazing success!

I build Soraka tanky with max CD. This means she can heal herself more often with Q and her allies every 1.2s. Also, even if the enemy focuses me, I'm building tank so I don't care too much. You just have to play Soraka very differently from every other champion--something that is exactly what Riot has been aiming for. No one plays like Soraka and I love that. When you're low on Soraka, stay behind your teammates and land those Q's until you're back to full. Then you can go back to your usually healing teammates and landing those awesome silence into bindings to peel for your carries.

When the rework first came out, everyone was playing Soraka wrong in my opinion. They tried to max Q and land those for the harass, but Soraka is not a harass champion. Riot said that she is the ultimate healer. And to that end, with the way that I play her, she really is.

You must be joking. The new Soraka is complete garbage. Her healing potential is way, way up at the sacrifice of any survivability. I'm pretty much reliant on the enemy being idiots and ignoring me in team fights to contribute whatsoever.

I disagree, she still has amazing survivability with her new Q. You just want to say "I can't heal myself with a targeted ability". You need to hit your Qs, and if you didn't notice, the speed of her Q is FASTER the closer it is to Soraka. meaning you can practically have the enemy slowed and your ass healed in an instant.

While the kit of the new Soraka is significantly different, it still keeps her identity of a healer support in tact. People always seem to call a kit garbage when it is first released. And to actually see more people commenting on how well a reworked kit is compared to just spewing angry remarks on how the old kit is ruined is actually a nice thing to see

So I for one agree with the original poster. The new Soraka is indeed very fun and revives a champion who was stuck beneath the pile of toxic gameplay and underplayability.

I'm kinda in between these two comments.

I agree that her new kit is great. She's much more effective and interactive than before. She has amazing poke and her E is very useful.

However, I also agree that she has an issue with survivability. Soraka is slow, very slow unless her passive is active, and she has to sacrifice health to heal. Landing Q is a MUST to keep up the healing, but doing both in a fight is difficult. Soraka is very squishy, meaning you pretty much HAVE to build her tank. Building AP just isn't gonna work out because she's so squishy and WILL be killed in fights because she's a priority target.

Other caster-type supports don't have to make the sacrifice Soraka does. That's the biggest issue, in my opinion. I think there can be a happy medium between having power and survivability.
