hi,
i am just wondering what items do you build on bard and why doesn't people build ap on him? In the game the recommend build is all tanky items and supporty, but why don't they build ap supporty items instead? His passive also stacks with ap, including the collection of shrines. what items should i build on bard?

Meepslinger is a freind from school and he has the 4th most Bard games in the world, just look at his build paths
Kitten of Evil1 votesHis AP scalings aren't very good, even after the buffs. His passive still scales more quickly with chimes than with AP.
You can grab Spellthief's because it procs twice on meep-autoattacks. Personally, I prefer 
for the HP regen in lane and because Talisman has a very strong active.
Otherwise I usually grab up to one AP item in a game -- Zeke's or Twin Shadows. But both of those are for their utility and active, while their AP is a nice little bonus.

Zone of Endless1 votesIt's because he doesn't scale well with damage and is a support. If you build damage you're wasting his potential to throw constant stun in a team fight and he already do a decent amount of damage if you collect enough chimes. Building tanky let you survive longer so you can throw out more Q. Your Q is on an extremely low CD once you max CDR (4.8 Seconds). So ever 5 seconds you can potentially stun 2 people which is pretty massive.
