number 1 issue with bronze players?

what do you think separates bronze players from silver and gold..

personally I just switched over from dota2 and been enjoying the switch so far except for I notice people like to pick wrong champs for example 1/3 games played as adc my support player likes to pick a teemo, or something else thats useless and feeds.

so for me

  1. proper champ selection
  2. understanding timings
  3. positioning see many people out of position and get caught
  4. proper item builds

The biggest Issue with Bronze players is Decision Making. While their CS is poor and In the end that is a huge problem. I see more issues with bronze players in the fact that they will be in their lane and go "I'm Half HP and the enemy laner is 3/4 HP. IM GONNA FIGHT THEM!!!!" then they die. Then they go back to lane to try again. then they die. repeat, repeat, repeat. I did this at one point too. I learned my lesson.

Decision making is what separates bronze for silver. Ive seen Silvers with TERRIBLE cs. Like 50 at 20 min terrible. But they have a deeper understanding of the game and have learned better decision making and it allowed them to climb since they dont just int feed accidentally by not knowing what they were doing.

Lack of game knowledge and understanding of that knowledge. Just knowing what every champions spells do and their range and relative cooldowns is enough to get you out of bronze because you're much less likely to die randomly to something because you didn't realize it could even happen.

The biggest difference I notice is the cs/min. Minions are your largest gold income. While a lot of people realize this, in game they forget about it. They know to last hit minions, but they're not planning to make sure they are always doing something for gold and not trying hard enough to get every one. Obviously there will be some you can't safely get, but you should make an effort to get all you can. AT LEAST 6 a min to get out of bronze

To climb out of bronze you just need to have the lanes always pushing the right way at all times. The stuff listed in the OP doesn't matter 'til Gold or Plat probably.

Issue with bronze players that prevents them from climbing to silver....practice last hitting creeps

last hitting creeps in the first 10 min of laning phase. Most bronze players rely on killing their lane as the only gold income they will get other than towers. If they were to farm 80-90 creeps in the first 10 min without dying to their lane opponent who only can kill 20-30 in that time your technically up a few kills worth of gold.

Really just create a custom game go to lane without any items or masteries or using skills and try to not miss a single creep. Try to get 100cs in 11min. If you can do that then add a bot to the game and try to get the same result. If you can last hit without masteries or items then going into a real game it should be easier with the added damage from starting items and benefits of masteries runes etc. Practicing this will definitely improve many bronze players.

That is all a bronze player needs to learn to do to reach silver IMO. Out farm your opponent then kill them easily when you have an item advantage. Avoid playing mechanically difficult champs that are skill shot reliant and you should be able to climb by playing the map and taking advantage of resources such as minions and towers to create a lead instead of kills.

The number 1 issue with bronze players is you can't really count on yourself or your teammates. Everyone is as bad as you are for everything.

So if you can't count on yourself and you can't count on your teammates, what can you do?

Champ select/match ups matter very little in bronze. It's why you will see people getting away with doing silly stuff like pantheon support or Morgana jungle.

I think the biggest issues with bronze players, as far as skill, are map awareness, overextending, and poor CS.

I would say it is a combo of lack of game knowledge and lack of objective focus.

So many times in bronze we'll have a successful fight, be pushing down a tower, but then i see a wave crashing on one of our towers in another lane, or botlane kills the enemy duo, enemy jg has shown top, enemy mid is mid, and they just recall without putting down any tower damage sometimes without even clearing wave and crashing it into enemy turret.

Mids roaming without pushing the wave first and losing 1st turret, etc.

This is one reason i like to play Xin in the JG because he has great objective power, W>Q tears down turrets and if my laners arent there to grab the farm I can easily last hit.

But i would say that bronze (and silver players to an extent) are more-so lacking in the Macro understanding of the game, which is why it can be hard for them to close out games even when ahead.

number1 problem with players like you. Likes to classify anyone and everyone as bronze.

Get over yourself.
