We need a vote kick system pre-game
So I can vote kick the toxic support that brings ignite ghost on soraka and threatens to build Infinity edge and run it mid in pregame chat.

Why is this being downvoted? It's a real fucking thing that happens, every. fucking.day.
its not against player conduct to play off meta... that is why... if soraka wanna go IE as a support ( not advised ) she has that right... and not jack shit you can do about it

This is true.
If it's intentional it's considered "being toxic" Which is bannable.
Huge difference between an off meta pick, and some punk kid forcefully ruining the gameplay of 4 other players. (9) if you include no challenge for the enemy team.
Untrue. If you're going ghost/ignite soraka and building AD, you aren't building off-meta...you're willingly lowering your team's ability to win the game.
Off-meta is stuff that can actually function. Leona top/jungle. Galio top. Sion support. Hell, even AD Panth support.
AD soraka with summoners that don't really benefit her in the slightest...you can't even attempt to call that legitimately 'off-meta' with a straight face.
But keep encouraging trolling. I'm sure people will love you for it.
no its just off meta cuz its not the norm nothing more or less now if they go into the game and run it down mid and all that stuff then its trolling. just cuz they wanna play something you dont consider viable ( aka off meta ) isnt bannable or reportable
So a champion that has no AD ratios, no peeling/engage CC, no mobility, and no hint of a gimmick that benefits from AD isn't trolling by going as an AD support...
Right.
Again, its not off-meta, its trolling.
AD support TF you can attempt to justify. AD support soraka...yeah...no.
you dont have to have ad scaling to build ad cuz if you are auto attacking then getting ad enhances your auto attacks
dps crit raka has worked before and it is off meta and can work just cuz you dont like it dont mean its wrong
just as adc dps bard has been played. and teemo adc
kennen adc
naut wasnt a support ideally he was a cc jungler then someone was like hey lets try him at support
(c9 made it popular in LCS aka lemon nation )
just as riven mid, panth mid, j4 mid
tank yasou top
the list goes on and on
All of those have reasons they can work, outside of ADC dps Bard and AD soraka.
Teemo as a counter-carry due to his blind. Its still not good at all, but its acceptable outside of ranked. The base AS and bonus MS help a little too.
Kennen due to his insane auto attack frames, his base AS scaling, his W, and his spammable stuns and massive MS boost.
Naut because he's loaded with CC, which means he can function as support like anyone else with CC.
Riven, panth, and J4 functioned mid because they were essentially AD assassins with more utility, and they didn't magically build AP. They still went AD, which they have scalings to support.
Tank Yasuo top worked because he'd be going against other tanks, meaning 50% of their gold value in armor was invalidated, TF AS is absurd atm, and Fervor is also absurd, along with PD being an overbearing amount of damage reduction if combined with any other tank stats, and frozen mallet being applied by his Q, including tornado.
AD Soraka is not off-meta. It is legitimately trolling. It has no excuses why it would even be acceptable to run.
Just like ADC bard. He has no mobility, no steroids he can effectively utilize, and no AD scaling.
True off-meta picks have reasons they can be successful. You're suggesting that trolling is successful.
its not trolling
soraka mid has been played , jungle raka has been played and so has top raka
its not trolling just cuz u dont like it
get over yourself
A) OP expressed a specific intent for the player to troll. It has little to do with soraka and more to do with that intent.
B) Soraka mid hasn't been played since before her rework, and, again, there were specific reasons it worked well. You couldn't dodge any of her damage, her heals were absurdly powerful when built with AP, and she reduced MR by a LOT and did tons of dps with her old Q, along with having a long-range, instant silence nuke. AP Raka mid would be considered off-meta now. AD soraka would not.
C) Jungle and Top raka were trolling. They did not work reliably at all, players above the top .5% often made videos of them legitimately doing troll picks because they have nothing better to do. They had nothing left to prove, so that's how they attempted to prove themselves. During the time that AP raka worked, jungle specifically didn't work well because she couldn't get the gold to clear fast enough early enough, and her gank presence was literally non-existent.
D) Its not me not liking it, its the person legitimately ruining the experience of everyone else on his/her team for fun. If you look at their match history, I'm willing to bet they don't commonly run it and try to make it a legitimate off-meta option. They do it to fuck around. Ranked is not the place for that. Hell, I'd argue that anything less than a full premade is not the place for that.
E) You need to get over yourself. You really think ruining the enjoyment of 4 other players is excusable just because one player wants to make a shitty pick that borderline ruins the game for the others, especially considering that person, almost guaranteed, has not practiced that pick, has not played it before, and has never done acceptably with it against players of a similar skill level? Its sick that you think its alright to run things that legitimately don't work, especially if that player has never attempted or done well with it. Off-meta picks are fine. Trolling is not.
If a player thinks its a legitimate EXTREMELY QUESTIONABLE off-meta pick, they better have a ranked/match history full of it, and at least a 40% win rate with it. Anything less can easily be considered trolling.
just cuz you dont like it dont mean its reportable
deal with it
its a fukin video game
try having some fun with it
This is a competitive game in which the purpose is to win.
I don't see soccer players being excused to pick daisies during a match they're playing Forward in because they think it would be fun.
In a casual soccer match between friends? Yeah, sure. Go for it. But League is not like that. If you aren't playing with a full premade or in a custom, you simply don't do that shit, especially in ranked.
Picking flowers will not help you win that soccer game, no matter how you look at it. Doing things that are counter-intuitive to winning in League are reportable. **That IS in the ToS. **
and soccer can be played for fun and enjoyment
its a video GAME
1 a (1) : activity engaged in for diversion or amusement
And League can be played for fun and enjoyment.
But if you start ruining the game for those other soccer players, you bet your ass they won't let you play with them for long. Same applies to League.
Being a video game doesn't mean it can't be competitive. League is a competitive video game whose entire goal is to beat the enemy team. In the ToS, actions that degrade the experience of others (lowering the chances of winning) in the game are reportable, and that includes picks that you do not express proficiency with that are essentially unthinkable. That doesn't mean Sona mid, that means AD soraka and AP Nocturne. It immediately tilts your entire team.
Riot themselves has said you should express that you intend a certain pick and that your intent is still to win, and that you have played it before in order to prevent a negative attitude going into the game.
intentionally feeding , afk , trolling is all reportable and does lower your chance of winning
playing off meta no matter what it is as long as you legit play it and try to win and dont intentionally feed and troll is not banable or reportable

Summoner's Code #4: "Enjoy Yourself, but not at Anyone Else's Expense"
Check and Mate.
Don't bother with WoonStruck, they are nothing more then a troll themselves.
I think there is some confusion here, In norms I don't give a shit if you play AP poppy mid. But don't try and serve me this shit in ranked and call it steak.
This
Id rather just have a system like CS GO. if the guy gets punishment for doing that shit then the losing team will get reimbursed the LP they lost.
also a kick function would be abused. with kicking even if its a 4 man req vote people could que as 4 and kick players to troll. (This would be especially bad if there were consequences for being kicked (this is a problem in CS GO where you get punished for being kicked and sometimes you run into 4 mans who kick you at the end of the last round to fuck you over))
This is a VERY slippery slope though.
for instance i could say that Akali jgl is an absolute troll pick that amounts to willingly fucking with your team. From my perspective akali jgl is not "Off meta" - it is off the reservation.
ofcourse some people actually play this [redacted]. idk y they be so [redacted] but that's the case.
anyway here's the kicker. is there a mechanism to allow me to maybe not play when some moron decides to bring in their OP OP akali jgl to MY GAME?
yes. there is. its called fucking dodge. and wait out the timer.
so, the way i see it is like this. I have a problem with akali jgl. so if i don't want akali jgl in my game, i should dodge.
<>
otoh there's absolutely no harm in having a vote kick. if 4 players want to play with themselves, and just want to not include the 5th in their sausage party, i think there is no real harm in having vote kick:
as long as all voting players take a loss. Because its basically saying, we forefit.
I dodge any time there's something I'm uncomfortable in champion select, so I really have to agree. Better to lose 3-7 LP than 15-30.
However, my point has been more that not everything can use the excuse "Its off-meta, not trolling." There are many things that can only be described as trolling, no matter how you spin it.
Nobody is going to seriously claim that ADC Galio is an off-meta pick.
This is being downvoted because this community is literal cancer. It's no wonder doctors haven't found a cure yet.
I like it's a clear declaration of trolling and I guess 15 year olds thinking they're funny are going to say "WELL IT'S JUST BEING OFFMETA!"
Odds are these are the kind of people that do stupid stuff like Zyra Jungle.
Granted I've never seen pregame trolling personally, mine is usually some mid laner dying and running to take all my jungle because he's angry. Or like last night, a Vayne who threw our game for 30 minutes because I "didn't gank his lane enough." according to his duo he was on skype with. If anything, threat of trolling or instances where it's clearly trolling should be permabanned without any excuse.
Nobody here is saying you can't play off-meta picks btw.
They're saying people should be able to vote-kick people that are opting into things that legitimately do not work. Champions that have no reason to fill a specific role/purpose that then intend to 'fill'.
Even full AD Leona would work better than the things we're referring to, due to her double auto reset on Q.
Suggesting things like AD soraka or AP Nocturne are simply 'off-meta' is absurd, and you deserve to be banned as much as the person playing them in ranked if you support them doing so in that game.
Save the stupid shit for normals with your premade.
Off meta is usually stupid to do in ranked anyways, especially if you're low ELO.
They should be niche picks that you've practiced well at the least. Just because you saw a pro do something, doesn't mean it will work out for you. I see so many people talk about picks pros have made, and then they end up doing horribly because we're in a completely different setting. In low ELO experience and skill can vary wildly, and a team full of strangers will not adjust their picks to support yours, especially if you aren't used to that champion or build.
I want to say though that ignite on supports is not off meta. If your team has enough CC, then it is perfectly acceptable for your support to grab ignite, sometimes even warranted. I see so many ADCs have a panic attack if you don't take exhaust when you have 3 tanks, and no assassins on the enemy team. Yeah ignite on Soraka isn't good, and that build is trolling, but I can see this being abused so badly. ADCs already treat their supports like slaves, and the majority of the time everyone else is too worried about their own lane to pay attention.
I'm a support main, but when I go to another lane I don't usually pay attention to the bot lane bickering either.
Had the right idea, but wrong intentions, try again.
How is vote-kicking a troll the wrong intention?
I assume the idea would be implemented to Vote kick a probable afk player, a player which you know is toxic from previous play, or an unsportsmanlike player before entering a game. This is what you should have typed, not some bias hate towards a player. you have already been down voted for insensitivity, thats why i ask to report without ill intent. cause it is a nice idea, but doing for selfish reasons is not the right idea. do you get it yet?
Nobody has biased hate towards a player in this thread so far. Someone whose intent was publicly announced as a troll should be able to be vote-kicked.
That's not insensitivity, its logic. You're basically supporting trolls.
Saying that it could be abused to vote-kick off-meta players is one thing, and I'd be inclined to agree, but you didn't even suggest that. The OP specifically mentioned an intent to feed/troll. _ Do you get it yet?_
Chat logs?
cant be banned or reported for playing off meta
