Warwick nerf..

Warwick is one of my favorite champs and i still use him after the nerf alot but warwick was not the problem.. the problem was the devour enchantment.. it made war wick able to one hit champs, but why take off his ult damage? i didint see the problem before hand.. Anyone else agree with me? Kinda sucks..

He is only as strong as his items allow him to be. Super binary champion that needs to be reworked very badly.

Lowering his numbers doesn't fix the problem because if Riot ever decides to buff any of the on hit items or god forbid add a new one Warwick will be broken again. These last couple of nerfs were a bandaid not a fix to the problem.

The damage was too high before too. It's just that no one noticed, because only newbies played warwick. When good players started to play him, it became apparent that he was too OP.

TLDR: As a mid laner, I found enemy WW to be f**king op.

I found his ult entirely frustrating as a mid main. Now I do not play him, so I do not know how much was the enchant and how much was the R, but I had to keep both rivers warded 100% of the time from 15 minutes onward to avoid dieing, and I couldn't go past the middle of the lane unless I knew WW was far from me. Why? His base move speed is too fast, he can get behind you if you push, even if you see him coming. Yes this is true of a lot of junglers, but it held you still, whereas other junglers could only slow you or hurt you in the little remaining space between you and the tower range. What I am saying is, the long suppress is powerful enough by itself as a gank tool, and i'm ok with it, but the damage took it over the top.

By itself, with the enemy laner completely ignoring me as WW ultd would take at least half my hp. This is with standard non-scaling defense runes. Add in a laner that is made to nuke people who stray too close (aka every mid laner in current meta) and you are guaranteed to die every time WW ganks. If WW's ult did 0 dmg, an aware mid laner could probably hit down at the very least 1/2 of most people's hp bar at this time. Don't you think this is hard enough with WW's ult doing the rest, not even needing his powerful Q finisher?

Im sorry I went on a little rant there... as a lone squishy laner, I saw the enemy WW far more often than anyone else. Many didn't understand just how easily they could kill me, but I did I silent curse every time I picked Syndra or Xerath or some other champ with no escape and inherent push, and then the enemy picks WW. I would have to play more carefully anyway due to how he works, but the dmg was a guaranteed kill.

I laughed a lot at those patch notes. "Hey, WW does a ton of damage with his ult thanks to all the on-hit stacking. Let's nerf this one item. Oh, and this version of Smite. Oh, yeah, and that other item. Hey, why don't we just nerf his base damage while we're at it? Cool idea? Cool idea."

Devourer was nerfed decently but the problem WAS ww. His ult could 100-0 people so he could just ult the adc get a kill and still be tanky enough to keep fighting. His ult still can do very high damage and is very likely a guaranteed kill in lane unless they have a large get/away gap closer Corki Khazix etc

there is a simple fix for warwick, change his ult to only hit 3 times instead of 5 while maintaining its overall damage. that way you nerf the interaction with on hit items but leave the champion overall unchanged. note that this would have been a nerf due to his passive but at least its only nerfing the problem area instead of the entire champ and all items around him.

Used to main ww and get some crazy high kda's way before S5. I can understand the harsh item and ult nerfs, but it was the w nerf that made me give up on him because I relied heavily on that to farm pre-6 in the jungle. If they're going to cut its duration by almost 50%, they should at least decrease that 24/22/20/18/16 cooldown. I'd even be fine with the ally attack speed bonus removed for this to happen because let's be honest, Warwick's kit has next to nothing to do with teamwork. Hoping that Riot nails his playstyle in the rework AND makes him balanced so he can't go from being UP as heck to OP as heck with a single item.

It is better to make a change to one champ who can abuse a item then change a item that will change a lot of things.

3 Month ago I said and That Riot will realize that WW is too op with high damage on hit items and will nerf him 3 month from now .

250+200 to 800 damage from stupid 40 magic+BORK

I had figured he was considered OP because of the Skirmishers blade enchantment on his smite. Think about it, you smite someone, then ult them. Every ult attack would deal bonus true damage. I don't know about you, but that seems pretty fucking broken. I've gone out of my way to always ban him because even after the nerf because they changed the wrong things.
