Why are people against reoving catch up xp for junglers?

It incentivizes sitting on a lane all game, while not being punished for it, because if you fall behind in level you get bonus experience from jg camps. I made a post about it like 2 hours ago, and it has received like 5 thumbs down. Why? Can anyone tell me why they like catch up xp, or at the very least, why it shouldn't be removed?

Because unlike Laners, Junglers exist in a place that is constantly vulnerable to invades (Can't play safe near turret to avoid ganks like laners), have to wait on respawn timers instead of minion waves, and are responsible for multiple lanes ontop of that. Being put behind by a single invade, or multiple, creates an even further snowball effect where you can't farm jungle, can't gank because you're behind, and can't get contest objectives.

There's a line between too forgiving and too unforgiving. "Removing it", is not an option, though you'd be far better received if you think it could be lowered.

The catch up XP is negligible and is not the problem. A jungler who spam ganks and soaks XP will out level a jungler who power farms even with the power farmer getting catch up XP. The issue isn;t that jungers can spam gank, the problem is that they have to. Games snowball to hard and too fast to risk not ganking early. And camps are worth scraps compared to kills, plates and lane XP. There is zero reason to do anything other than gank

riot needs to hard nerf jungle, the most low risk high reward role in the game by far.

A mid laner needs to roam consistently to have the same impact as jungle, the difference being that each fail roam is costly and puts yourself way more behind than a jungler failing a gank. Fail 2 roams and you're probably 1.5 levels behind the enemy mid laner and a few kills worth of gold.

Because it deinctivizes junglers to do anything but farm. Slows the whole game down, jungling becomes about who can clear the fastest, junglers complain that everything is too risky because the jungle is worth too much in farm, riot nerfs farm so junglers can do other things, junglers pretty much have to be successful in their first few ganks or the enemy runs away with the game, junglers complain that their role is too lane reliant, and round and round we goooooo

Removing it would increase snowballing. There are better ways to address junglers who permanently gank. There are good-in-design changes coming for season 10. We'll have to see how well they're implemented.
