Why was ignite buffed in the first place?

I am actually confused as to why ignite was buffed. I thought it was a good summoner spell prior to the buff and think this is just an overbuff that's ruining the game for some people. I'm just tired of seeing 3-4 ignites in one team and then they start snowballing like there's no tomorrow, it's no fun and diminishes the value of strategy in this game. The only thing that has any value is damage and that's it, makes this game very unfun for people who love ADC/Marksmen and other squishy champions. Pls revert ignite buff, although it's not the only problem this game currently has, this revert could provide one step closer to a more balanced and FUN game. Who doesn't love fun, am I right? (:

dude sometimes i can force myself to leave my body by putting together all the flat damage possible at level 1 in a single rune page with ignite

lemme see... summoner 14 80 electrocute - 50 cheap shot - 15 scorch - 20 zombie ward (rarely utilized at level 1 but ive seen it) - 30

195 + (50% bonus AD) (30% AP)

oh there it is, i'm now typing from the sixth astral plane

saltiness aside, they are nerfing a lot of these damage values, so rejoice

Because mid took Heal as well, that would mean since Heal was meant for just the Bot role (not support, just the role where adc usually resides) that Heal was OP and Ignite was UP.

Why are you just complaining about this now? summoner 14 Was buffed 9 patches ago. Are you only complaining about it now due to the summoner 12 Nerf causing it to show up more?

No one would take it but assassins and they only took it because they had no other choice. However now with it's buffs and nerfs to other things which riot needs to stop doing at the same time ignite is now taken by supports again and sometimes top laners.
