I don’t understand mmr In this game

I had diamond 2 last season and every season before that.

I went 8-2 in placements and got placed plat 2

IN what world does that make sense?

How am I not plat 1 mmr?

You’re placing me against diamonds every single game and then put me in plat 2 after 8 wins and 2 losses?

I’m supposed to play even more games now?

I get that it’s a soft reset but this shit makes no sense if I was high elo last season

After playing with 3 trolls in 3 separate game and managing to claw my way out of placements , you still give me the final kick in the ass?

Can I just never depend on this game for anything to Be done correctly ?

so your upset over the plat 2 placement and not plat 1? and if you play well and games go in your favor would take bout 15 games to get to diamond 5 promos?

You're actually upset about a single division? Quite simply Diamond+ is flushed out every season to make sure that everyone who ends up there actually belongs there. This happens to all the divisions to an extent

You probably are where plat 1 mmr use to be. Riot mentioned a while back that they were trying to raise the bar for d5 in an attempt to make it less of a shit show. That probably also included raising the mmr value to get placed into p1
