AIister - Summoner search results - League of Legends

First of all, let me introduce myself. I am an LAS player, better known as Alister (written aiister, just in case you want to search my op.gg. Wrote it with two i's because if you put one in caps, it looks like an L. Alister was already taken). I am currently in Bronze 3 0lp. I have always loved off-meta picks, such as: Blitz jg, full ap leona top, braum top with triforce, etc. For me, league is boring without an off meta factor. I am also very competitive (two bad mixes). Today, I have decided that I will no longer stick to following met on ranked. I will go whatever I want. Isn't the game supposed to be fun. (Disclamer: I do not intend to troll, just go off meta. Read untill the end and calm your horses). I plan to play Braum top , and blitz mid or top , or even split push taric (copied from the guy that created zero damadge tryndamere, cant remember his name). My question is: Will I get banned or something if I go with this in ranked? I just want to get lp like everybody else, I mean, why do people consider picks like this troll? If you ask a pro, they'll tell you to stick to a champ you like, but they don't assume you like to play a champ in a different way. Off meta is the only way I have fun. I got inspired by this playstyle by people like dark mane, siv hd, and others. I would like to hear your guy's thoughts about off meta picks in ranked. (Or even fun builds for other champions).

I want to see opinions from everyone. (Bronze, silver, gold, whatever) I would also like to mention that I posted this here, because the LAS forum is garbage, rioters never respond, and people just post dank memes. I just want to be heard.

Thank you, May the off meta be with you.

Unless you already know, you should personally look up the singed support or the nunu support that were both openly discussed on the forums. Granted, the discussions are very biased but it should be a "decent" introduction into the topic of off meta picks in ranked games.

For the acquainted or lazy this is the general rule of thumb that riot follows.

_Going off meta is neither a crime nor is it a punishable offence on its own. If your play-style creates a terrible experience for your teammates however, then that can be punished. _

My words, not theirs.

If you want to go something off-meta more power to ya. I legitimately hope for your success, but be wary and communicate with your team. If they are uncomfortable with your plan and you can't convince them otherwise then forcing your play-style on them is just wrong and can be punished. Likewise, if your plan requires you to abandon the expected duty of your role (i.e. going counter-jungling instead of actually supporting) going forward with said plan without the express approval of your teammates is wrong.

Yes, there will be sticks in the mud who will be against what you want exclusively because it will be off meta, but that's the price you got to pay. Its trailblazers that define whats meta in the first place and only by trying new things can we see what stands well now and what doesn't. But don't sacrifice the fun of your teammates for your own enjoyment. That's what trolls do.

As long as you are actively attempting to win, you won't be banned.

You may however have your account temporarily locked after a manual audit if a significant number of players are reporting you for failing to really communicate your plan, but after you message riot about it they'll give you some guidence on how to communicate your off-meta strats better, and unlock your account (provided they do indeed see that it's genuine attempts to win, not just trolling).

That said, off-meta picks tend to be off-meta for a reason, so I would expect your winrate to level out at 50% at a relatively low rank compared to what you might be able to achieve with more conventional picks.
