Can someone give me some tips on how to tell apart bots?

I was just wondering if the people who made bots upgraded their scripts. I just had a Twisted Treeline game and I thought my two other team mates were real because of the Summoner Spells and their names weren't like "GoldenFrog" or anything but real looking, spazzy kinda names. Also, they actually used spells. I know that when they didn't talk nor run from the enemy that it should've set off alarms but... I believed y'know? Plus they bought items. It just felt like a real game with people who were new to the game and didn't quiet understand how things worked. But at the end lobby, the enemy team, a Jax and Fiona explained to me that my team mates, Ashe and Morgana were bots and their Elise was also a bot. I was really confused but it made sense. Now I'm really unsure how to tell apart bots and players apart from speaking but I feel like that's an unreliable source since many Solo Que players don't seem to enjoy speaking so much. So, if someone could please run me through with any tips on how to tell which ones are bots and which ones are not I'd appreciate it. I'm looking for something other than speaking.
