Can we get a non-random queue for Howling Abyss?

I'm sure there are tons of posts about this already, but I'm going to make another one.

I've been playing LoL since beta, and while I enjoy SR, ARAM, and most of the fun weekend modes, my favorite thing to play is the Poro King, specifically because I get to play on HA, but I get to choose my own champion. Listen - since beta, I went and got married, had kids, and now I support a family. I know about 15 champions really well, enjoy playing another 15 or so, and I don't really have a ton of desire OR time to learn anymore, and I'm not the only one in this boat. I love the HA map - not ARAM, but I play ARAM so I can play on the HA map, and hopefully get one of the 30 or so champions that I enjoy playing with, and if I don't, I leave the game and go play Hearthstone.

This sucks - because I can go look at the custom games, and see "blahblahblah's custom game" 400 times, and every once in while find a non-random custom game on HA, but that's maybe once a week? And half the time it's actually 10 people who know each other all getting together for a game and I get kicked.

There seem to be two solutions to this:

  1. Riot could penalize me for dodging, because they don't like players leaving queues as it ruins the experience overall for others. The upside in this is that there's one fewer person dodging games, but the downside is that there's one fewer player playing their game entirely.
  2. Riot could allow for a Howling Abyss queue - doesn't have to be ranked, just a 5v5 where people can ban like normal games and play for fun with the champion they want. The upside to this is that the thousands of players with my same sentiment are satisfied, and people who actually WANT the game to be random will be the ones joining the random queue, leading to (I would assume) far fewer people leaving. The downside to this is that Riot would have to spend resources developing this queue and I have no idea how resource-intensive that would be, but I can't imagine it would take longer than like 2 days.

I don't dodge to "be a dick"; the simple fact is that there are only about 30 champions that I want to play the game with with the limited time I have, and as Riot has given me no other option, I go do something else if I can't get a champion that I enjoy.

It seems like it would be a waste to penalize someone into leaving the game just because they don't want to learn 100+ champions. It's not about "always getting that one super OP champ" - I mean, several of my favorite champions aren't even good on howling abyss, but I like playing them because I like playing them. Maybe ARAM is RIot's attempt to force players to either "learn all the champions, and enjoy the random aspect of it or don't queue in this mode," but while that (may) be their philosophy, it's not mine, and it's never going to be.

Here's to hoping!

Or the ability to create a simple white/black list in the client would do.
