I'm not sure what kind of math you're using, but if going 8-2 in provisionals drops me from Gold V to Silver IV, I'd love whatever you're smoking, Riot.

based off of your MMR, you may have been gold 5 but you were probably playing with silver2's the majority of the time you were playing being the 1 gold person in the room who would supposedly stomp the silvers.

you could not fall out of gold 5 unless your MMR fell all the way to bronze 1.

I understand this, but I was just hoping for a chance to ignore this shitty MMR system. My roomie is diamond, and all my friends are high gold/plat, so by playing with them I've picked up more knowledge of the game. Silver games aren't really skill determinant anymore, they're moreover a lottery of getting a team that doesn't have the one person who does literally nothing.

Don't get me wrong though, I think team blaming is wrong, and I did it in the past. If a guy goes maybe like 2-5 in lane, so what, they tried and they're not completely useless. It's when you get the constant stream of players that have a death every 2 to 3 minutes, never group with the team, and have cs scores that are incredibly low (on top of numerous horrible judgement calls). It's just really affecting my enjoyment of the game when this happens on a consistent basis.

(This isn't meant to sound like I do well every game... I have games here and there where I do absolutely atrocious)

Looks like its another season of the silver lottery for me again -_-

same with me i was bronze 1 and i work my ass of with all the trolllers bronze that can play i do uderstand the frustration . i also make a post myslef i win 8-2 and i end up bronze 5 again seems pretty fuk up up to me i carry all my team for my 9 games . even so i just tougth riot should fix this becasue serisouyl they make us lose time with those bronze kids i was also platinum. and and up bronze 1

i would like to talk to the manager my self. i know im not the only one , but i just really dont understand those rank system ? like an example cs go have such a great rank system seriously it should be the same . i just do think they will lose alot of player for that new updated

You are missing puzzle pieces. They did a soft reset in the preseason. So basically they take a big rito dick and fuck your mmr before the season starts. The only way to combat this is by padding your mmr in the preseason. op.gg recorded a 130 mmr drop for me just before the season started, i was playing ranked so it was likely 2 full divisions (140 if im not mistaken) initially.

Its BS i know, but at least you can have closure. this happens pretty much every year from what i can see.
