I do not like the fact that there are only 4 boxes that can be obtained monthly.There are about 140 heroes to get boxes, and players have the chance to win only 40 boxes throughout the season (the season lasts about 10 months * 4 boxes per month = 40 boxes during the season) , but there are still about 100 heroes with which you can get boxes.What do you think?
I honestly think it is absolutely fine the way it is. It just feels like people want the opportunity to get 100 skin shards a year for free.

you get 52 boxes a year, 1 per week. idk where youre getting 40 from. You also get champs from level up capsules, and is your main source of champs/blue essence

No amount of free boxes would be a enough for me, because I stopped being able to reasonably earn them this season since games were far too short and snowbally. So thank god for that. I was finally able to quit.

Spoiled as people these days. When I started out we would sit down to play and plan out who we were gonna buy next cause 6300 ip was holy crap hard to get and took a while. There were no free champions for leveling up. There were no free boxes with free skins and champs for doing well. You got what you got when you got enough IP or you bought IP boosts, and that was it.
It took me years of grinding to unlock every champ, and now I see people whining that there aren't enough free boxes you get for playing the game. You can easily get like 6 free champs a month between level up capsules and boxes.
I think you should be thankful Riot is handing out champs like candy these days cause back when I started playing you'd barely have enough champs to even join ranked by the time you hit level 30 without IP boosts.
Honestly the keys taking forever are annoying I get the boxes so fast and they just sit there. I haven't gotten any key fragments since before I got level 3 honor the other day so I would be sitting at 3 unopened boxes without that. It is probably different for people who have been sitting at level 5 getting those phat full key orbs for months but the box/key system outside of the honor system is setup where boxes can be unlocked a lot faster and then have a really long cooldown.

I think the problem is that the chest rate and key drop rate aren't the same. When I got every box I could last season, I ended up with WAY more than keys (honor 5 both last and this season).
I need keys, i have a constant stock pile of 14-16 chests at any time on my main account. accruing large numbers of keys is damn near impossible.
Edit : i get a key fragment almost every other time i log in (honor 5). doesn't even put a dent in the amount of chests i get.
I have basically 50 boxes and no keys. Ever since the advent of the system, the boxes have severely outlasted my keys honestly -- even though I get honors every other game and give them out every game.
