Find a way to better balance ARAM

Yeah this may sound stupid because many people will probably be like, yeah its just ARAM its just for fun. The reason I'm posting is because I am tired of going to play this game type just for fun, and having all the fun taken away because I'll have a team full of gimp people, while the other team will have lets say Katarina, Lux, Swain, Xerath, and Vel koz. I know a lot of people love the game but I feel like to balance it out slightly certain champions that usually can not be controlled by random teams, such as Kat, should be banned. This is just an idea of how to possibly improve the gameplay for many people.

ARAM doesn't need balance. It's Random for a reason.

What it needs is full champion pool. That way ppl won't be able abusing random mechanics. When that happens you'll see far less ARAM-OP champions per game.

The simple fix is to have all champions, even unowned, open to being selected for ARAM. This way ARAM only accounts that are setup to rig the random selection to only good champions for the mode, outside the 10 free, can't be abused.

Ive been able to play as champs i didnt own and they werent free. The problem is that we cant pick champs that dont have some kind of AP. The multi target assassins are the ones that are allowed and dominate. Yet the singe target are RARELY seen

If you ever ban one of my favorite champions just becuase you fear the random gods I'll just stop playing the mode.

Just to tell you, if against that team you get a Galio + Sona/Soraka you won. Also other heavy tankers can just win by get into lategame. Also ARAM doesn't need to be balanced at all (it's really just a crowdy mess) If you don't like it just stop playing it and do not force many more ppl to stop playing it by removing their favorite champions by the choices.

If you want a "balanced" mode there could be another choice from full random that lets you decide the role you queue as (MM, Assa; Tank, etc) so you get one of the avaible champions with said role.

Except you can't always get to late game because you can't splitpush, baron, farm, or otherwise do anything to stall the game. In the other game modes you can heavily punish the enemy team for 5-man camping your mid turret the entire game. In ARAM, if they have a siege comp then they are just going to eventually kill you under turret without putting themselves at risk and there is nothing you can do about it, you are eventually going to lose that turret then the next.

Well that's what you should aim for if you have a certain kind of team (they have to finish early if they don't want risks, you have to prolong it), neverd said is going to be easy. I had fights where reached a certain amount of gold due to some delays we could make it so enemies couldn't push to inibitor anymore, gained more golds due to some single killsand wave control and then we were so unkillable that we pushed back. Also had matches where this happened against me. It's not impossible and it's way easier than carry yourself out of many normal games.

This mode used to be relatively easy, casual and fun. Lately my teams are always struggling to win, and often we don't win. It's a significant change to how it used to be, and it's honestly ruining ARAM for me. I'll sit there wanting to play ARAM, but knowing I'll prolly have a better win and enjoyment chance playing SR.

And that's because people have ARAM only accounts nowadays? Nice randomization then. -_- No matter who they get, it's always better than what us non-ARAM-only accounts get. That really needs to be dealt with, cuz it really is ruining the game.

Just open up the whole champion pool for ARAM. Not keen on banning, though. I'd rather play with a 1st time (champ name) than knowing the enemy team is likely made out of ARAM optimized accounts.

If Rito won't fix this, I guess I have no choice but to use a smurf account for ARAM only as well. gg

Well adding perhaps a mode with say a pool of 5 random champs you can choose from each time per person would be nice and it least make it somewhat easier and the dodging when someone doesn't get the champ they like or can't get via trade sucks.

The team you listed as an example is pretty bad.

No marksman, no carry, no heal, no tank, no frontline.. A single Garen would wreck this team quite hard.

You are not convincing ha.

The new ARAM-exclusive summoner spell on the PBE should help a lot.

The spell, called Mark, throws a snowball. If it hits an enemy champion, your champion can cast Dash to dash to the enemy champion.

If you remember Poro Toss on the Legend of the Poro King featured game mode, its basically the same thing, except less adorable because you throw snowballs instead of poros. If you don't remember that, it's basically Lee Sin's Sonic Wave/Resonating Strike.

This summoner is apparently designed to help alleviate some of the problems some champs have historically had on ARAM based on data collected during LotPK, where a lot of champs traditionally considered bad on ARAM were seeing play or even dominating because of Poro Toss was so good.
