When you select a champion it should lock you in automatically when the timer is up.

Twice I have been kicked out of a match with a five minute timer because I selected a champion and went to go do other things on my computer and didn't lock in. It should just lock you in, it is quite obnoxious that it doesn't. Tell me if you agree/disagree.

They do it so one person doesn't waste everyone's time by selecting a champion and then letting the timer expire because "hey no penalties for me right? fuck everybody else's time"

Wasting 10 seconds versus wasting another minute or more waiting for a queue to pop again because someone didn't lock fast enough is a very acceptable tradeoff.

Why don't you just learn from your past mistakes and lock in before you alt tab?

This is a valid idea, I just want to present what might be the possible reasoning against it (aside from the fairly unhelpful "why don't you just pay attention")

I imagine this is the way it is to help "weed out" some of the games where someone selects a champion and then leaves for good. Better to have a queue not fire than to play a 4v5.

However, with matches being remade and with the chances of someone who was there to pick a champion but not to lock in being fairly low i'm not sure if this argument holds any water.Nami
