Let's talk about Garen

Hello there,

This will be my first time making any post complaining about a champion so please be patient with me. first off, I've been having a hard time winning games with a Garen on the other team. I realize his average win rate is 50%. The game just isn't fun against a Garen. Whether we win or loose the match, kills or no kills. Garen Just seems to take the excitement out of the game. His defensive stats are very good. It happens to me a lot were Garen will just win 2v1 or win fights that he shouldn't be winning. Most often than not ill underestimate a Garen that has little gold or item. So I'd liek to nkow the opinion of the community. please don't comment if you're going to call me a noob, or bash on me. I'm just expressing my opinion. ty and remember to ban Garen.

Okay so for future reference when it comes to complaining about champions:

Please be as specific as possible about what you don't like about that champion. Your entire post is emotion but no reasoning, a statement but no argument. Give us something to specifically talk about if you want to get other people to talk about Garen.

On that note,

It happens to me a lot were Garen will just win 2v1 or win fights that he shouldn't be winning.

Can we get more details? If it's two melee champions, especially if one of them is supposed to be burst based, this is just literally what Garen (at least his W and E) are designed to do, so you probably played right into his strengths there.

you talk like you have never played the game. he is not contacting a customer support center in India who have to take you to next line support because all their tools work around restarting PC or running remote control sessions. He is talking about how Garen only need 1 attack item and then go complete tank and still spinning and killing.

In laning just use someone who can constantly harass him so his passive doesn't heal him back up, I've been able to do this effectively as Vlad and I'm sure other champions can easily. Late game is different, if you are the villain don't fight him unless he is low on health. He will almost always just go for the villain since he can kill them the most easily so peel for them. His damage versus everyone else is manageable so just kill him or force him away from the fight.

Don't worry since his update garen has been OP. Before his update I really liked to play him and well I still do but it seems too simple to verse against mages and (unless they are fed) ap characters. Of course the only way to beat Garen is to use his counters.

Garen is a broken char atm i completley agree. I just played as a eve in the JG where i did really good early game. I had several kills and few deaths. I ganked often and even ganked Garen and made him use his flash and almost killed him, and made him back. I went to help out other lanes and came back to top around 9 or so. at that point i had 4 kills one death and garen was against a shen so i figured oh we got this we almost killed him once already. he had boots and maybe one small item. i went in behind him where he proceeded to q, e, ulti dead then he spun on shen and chased him back to the tower where he went through it without dieing and killed shen then danced behind the tower. after that it was all down hill he started roaming and ganking and getting mad kills. at about 20 mins he was 12 and 0 and i was about 12 and 4 maybe 13 or so. I thought i was going to be able to kill him seeing as i wrecked his whole team when he wasnt around. I mean i was 2 shotting the adc and every other person including a blitz. then i decided its time for this garen to die. well i run in and boom he 2 shots me before i even get to do anything but ulti him and hit q a few times. he ended up goin 21 and 0 and i went 19 and 8 and there was nothing at all i can do to even tough him at that point yet i could almost 2 shot every other char. I said all of that to show that garen, and not just this garen but every garen is a no skill pub stomper and needs to be reworked... im not saying he needs to be nerfed i just think that the way his mechanics work give him a huge def build and still having so much damage that he can QER and your dead. Its insane that just because he is useless in pro matches that he should get buffed so much that he pub stomps. If he doesnt work in pro matches then rework him and give him something that will make him viable without breaking him like villan. that is all sorry about the bad grammar and typing but its late and i am tired.
