why my fps getting lag after all those updates?

i used to have 400-500 fps when i first play in season 4 but now i have like 2-40 and when fps droped it goes to 0 and crashed. i have nvidia geforce gtx titan x. should i scan for viruses?? update drivers?? or format my pc?
