Tahm Kench: The Troll Support

I don't know about you guys, but every single time I've laned with Tahm Kench (given it's only been about 3-4 times throughout my League career), they end up spewing me into horrible situations. I've spent about 2-3 seasons trying to get my ADC game good, and it's definitely much. much better than it used to be. I can usually carry fairly well. But everytime I see someone lock in the Giant Frog, I instantly facepalm, expecting the worst. For all intents and purposes, he is a very good champ and can be extremely useful. However, I cannot exaggerate enough how irritating it is to be eaten by him just to end up dying as soon as he spits me out when I could've gotten away just fine on my own. I'd like to get some opinions together on how to change the ability in order for it to be even more useful. Maybe make it optional like taking Thresh's lantern? There can be an indicator on Tahm Kench signifying that he's ready to consume, or something like that. I hope there will be a fix to this situational problem.

Yeah, lowbies have no fucking clue on how to unbench the Kench there.

Higher up, he is permaban. Just combine the poke of Lulu's, tankyness of Alistar, peel of Janna, and mash that up into one nightmare.

Am I playing the same Kench? I don't quite understand how he has Janna's peel. She can knock multiple people up or blast multiple people away with her ult, on top of the speed bursts that people get coming to her. At best, Kench can stun/incapacitate a single person, and even then, he's left behind as his ADC escapes, unlike Janna, who can peel like an onion from the back lines. I can understand the tankiness of Ali and the poke of Lulu, that I'm not contesting, it's just his peel isn't that safe or very capable of being used as fluidly as Janna's. And yes. Bard is weird. He's still difficult to comprehend, and almost his entire kit is as detrimental to your team as it is helpful. I think he may need a bit more tweaking before he's a capable support, and I think that lies in working on his passive and the stacks for the chimes.

Eat ally right before they die then run away, and send that guy to safety.

I'm not sure about you, but this level of "cockblock" is pretty annoying. Which is why it is comparable to Janna's peel in general, where she can singlehandedly deny kills.

I'm only Silver, so maybe there's something I'm missing, but I've got to agree with Oleandervine on this one. Lulu's poke is harder to dodge since she can put Pix on the enemy champs or on minions very close, and Janna has SO much disengage and peel, it's not even funny. However, he is almost as tanky as Alistar. The thing that makes Tahm a stand alone support, in my opinion, is the fact that he can easily peel for his adc in lane, and his map presence. The fact he can bring along another champ with him is pretty nuts. Bard OP though.
