Is Riot going to give chests for champions that are already level 5?

Is Riot going to give chests for champions that are already level 5? I heard that we will get chests when you master a champion, but I already have quite a few that are already level 5. Will I get chests for those?

Chests are for getting an S-/S/S+ on a champ in a game.
You can literally play a game on a free-rotation champ, do beast on them, and get the box.

Retroactively giving out chests would take too long, so no on the lvl5 auto-chest.
