Zed ult damage

Does someone mind giving me an in-depth explanation how Zed's ult works? He does his AD (including base AD) then deals an additional 50% of damage dealt after ulting you right? I was playing a match and this Zed walked up to me, ulted me, did 700 damage, got the hell out, then his death mark popped me for over 1k damage. That can't be right, can it? He had like 350 AD or so. I'm really confused and I'm super tilted after getting solo'd by Zed 3 times with him just doing R Q AA R as Riven. Did he get buffed or what? EDIT: Level 18 Riven vs. Level 18 Zed Riven: BF Sword, Vamp Scepter, Hydra, Youmuu's, CDR boots Zed: BotRK, Black Cleaver, LW, Vamp Scepter, Mercs, red flask For the first encounter (he did ~700 damage in death recap from Q and auto and 1096 from ult if I remember correctly, my shield was shielding ~400) those were the builds. He didn't buy items at all after that point in the match, meanwhile I completed my BT and we had two more 1v1 encounters (I was tilted, okay?) where he did almost all my hp with his ult, an auto, and a Q.

It does exactly what it says in the toolkit.

The thing with damage is that at a certain point, it doesn't matter who has 'more'. Once you both have the potential to kill each other extremely quickly, having more damage items wont matter - only defense and outplaying will.

You built pure offense and no defense, 'completing your BT' doesn't really give you an edge in that 1v1 considering Hydra alone is probably enough to 100-0 Zed.

I'm not upset that I lost, I was tilting. I know I should've built a QSS, however at the time I was really strong as well and I wanted more snowball potential. All of a sudden Zed started hunting me down, and picked a 1v1 fight with me. Now, I'm used to beating Zeds in 1v1s, but when he ulted me, Q AA then instantly got out, I was confused. Then 2/3s of my hp disappeared from his ult alone. Also, I almost always build Riven with one defensive item and everything else AD + CDR boots and I beat plenty of Zeds. Never have I seen a Zed do 1k damage with ult though.

So after he ults you, he can choose to continue attacking you or stop. If he continues attackign you his death mark will deal a percentage of that damage he did to you

At the end of its duration, Death Mark triggers, dealing physical damage plus a percentage of all physical and magic damage Zed dealt to the target while they were marked. Physical Damage: 100% AD + 20 / 35 / 50% of damage dealt A third shuriken hitting the same target deals 50% damage, not 25% If Death Mark's damage is sufficient to kill an enemy, a shuriken appears above the marked champion's head along with a cloud of smoke surrounding them. If the target's health is replenished in any way that will let the target survive, the swirling shuriken mark will disappear. The red mark inside the target that denotes the mark's existence will remain for the full three seconds, however .

Most of the dmg is probably from the Q. If he hit you with BORK, this dmg will also be counted in the trigger.

He did ~700 damage with just an auto and one Q I think (maybe two hit). The death recap said ~1700 damage dealt in 1.? seconds. And at the top of that it said over 1k damage by the ult alone. If he only dealt 700 damage after ulting me and I had full hp n all, how did his ult do over 1k damage? He had about 350 ad, a bit less maybe, he had a red flask, idk how much damage that gives, he used W, so maybe 400 AD? That's still only ~750 damage though. I'm just really confused at how it did so much.

his ult does different percent damage at ranks. it starts off at 20 then at lvl 3 i think its 50%. his ULT can crit when he finishes the animation instantly. I think you just got crit

Zed ultimate can't crit rofl, it is ability damage, not AA.

Tell us his items and how much armor did you have. Did you use the E shield? It's totally possible for Zed to kill 1shot squishies, if he has IE.

Edited post... And yes I used the E shield. Was running flat armor/mr runes, and I have no clue how he did over 1k damage on ult.

Ussually when players try to shield themself from deathmark they die

Specially if thats in lategame
