The ranking system for champ mastery is seriously confusing to me...

I'm so frustrated trying to get Sivir to level 6.... How do they even determine what you get at the end of a match? How can somebody who did worse than me get a higher grade? Can someone please explain this? I'm super salty about this right now. See image link thing for why I'm so salty.

The system is based on relativity. You probably got docked a lot of points for csing. 160 cs in 25 mins for sivir is pretty damn bad, since she is one of the easiest champs to CS on. Obviously you weren't docked points for your KDA. There are other small things taken into account as well but all I can tell from your pic is CS is really bad.

So yea an easy way to abuse the system is doing what the morg did. Play a champ thats normally support in a different role and get a big kda + cs + damage and easy S.

Part of the reason why getting S rank on support is so difficult, since you aren't supposed to CS so you can't differentiate yourself from lower skilled players in that regard.

If I remember right, you're graded based on how you did (in all aspects of the game) vs. how other people who play that champion do. I could be wrong. Typically, just farm more for that S rank. I feel like if you're under 200CS on an ADC you're not getting an S unless you end it pre 20min.

Your grade depends on your percentile performance compared to all other performances by all other players playing sivir adc. Lots of things are taken into account for what qualifies as 'performance' (not just kda, but objective participation, kill participation, cs, warding, etc.) but the main thing is you're compared to other people rather than absolute numbers. If you didn't get the best grade, it just means enough people did it even better.

For some champion/role combinations, the top performances are pretty insanely good, so even a performance like yours was 'only' an A+. For other champ/role combos (e.g. kench adc), even going even would probably net you an S.

Morg (presumably mid) got her grade since she did better than the majority of other morg mids, even if her numbers might be worse than yours, she's only being compared to other morg mids, just as you're only being compared to sivir adcs. (She is not being compared to morg supports, role is taken into account.)
