Stop mixing tft ranks with league ranks

Why does the tft rank overwrite real rank if it's higher? Tft rank is not comparable in any way to the real rank and shouldn't be shown instead of the real rank even if it's higher. This is just stupid. Some people work really hard to get into gold or plat for example and then someone comes with their tft rank and they have everything the same (profile hover and lobby armor). Tft rank should be shown separately or even better move the whole game to another client because tft is not a mode for league it's a completely different game.

Yeah, some guy i played with has a diamond rank. i said how the fuck does he play so bad. op.gg'ed him.

I think instead of a moving TFT to it's own client Riot should just release the "Riot Games Client". Sorta like Epic Games or Blizzard where you can see all their games and choose which one you'd like to go into.

Happy to see this get some up votes. I have commented about this on Reddit and gotten flamed and also made a post on here and got no traction (lots of swearing though my bad). But it is really truly dumb.

I get it.... they need to promote shit but fuck man. I know plat 4 isn't even as great as old plat 5 and I am mad at Riot for that but.... I am still happy about reaching plat. Then I go play with some friends of friends in some norms who are legit like iron/bronze at the game so we go to play some fucking norms and they have a fucking diamond border....... and profile... and fucking everything! lol..... fucking seriously Riot....

So yea.... if it stays like this I am just done. People can say "play for fun" but a lot of those people who say that shit don't realize what a grind ranked can be. And I get it.... ranked rewards in League aren't great.....but they were always something that not everyone got. But now it just feels like everyone has everything and they feel literally not special at all......

So yea... you keep this shit this way Riot and I am done with ranked. No reason to grind my ass off next season. And since I hate normals unless playing with friends I will hardly play that as well so guess I am just done with League.

It makes no sense and feels like a big F**k you to people who actually earned their borders through summoners rift. Just show borders and ranks on their respective game modes only.

Meddler today said that they are working on having a different border for tft ranks. You can choose which one is displayed but you will be able to tell if its a tft rank vs a league rank.

It is a bit lame though that for the time being they have the same border. I feel like having no border at all while they work on adding the tft specific borders would be better than sharing the same art since people worked so hard for their league ranks though.

Also, completely disagree with having a separate client. I like to play both games and its really really nice that I can switch between them easily and if I log on I see all my online friends, playing either game.

I largely agree except for moving it out of the client. It's success is largely attributed to its accessibility. I think the best solution is to just have TFT rank armor show up in TFT lobbys and no where else.

They want this to be a real mode this time. They apparently don't want second-string shenanegans happening like Dominion and TT. It's kinda annoying. If they treated other gamemodes with any care, they'd probably still be around, but Riot decides to put their attention in the braindead balance game mode to pretend they have a second mode. So irritating.

One time I met this kid (and added him) and when I was told he's plat, I was like "Oh cool, this kid is plat and he's better than me! Kudos!"

Then I go to his profile and he's all bronze is solo queue and fuckin plat on ranked 3v3. My reaction? This: [zombie-brand-facepalm]

If ranked is this much fucked in the ass, then no wonder why I didn't bother playing ranked. Like come on! This shit right here promotes fraud and shit and since riot added ranked tft (which is trash to even begin with) then this a fiesta of wolves in sheep clothing.

We'll be forced to go all detective on every person to make sure that their claim "I'm diamond!" Is legit or not.

With clash does it put you in a higher tier because your tft rank is also high tier? Does your mmr for SR change because of your tft rank? If not it seems like they are being rewarded but still allowed to play at the elo they are at in SR but gain all the rewards SR offers?

in my opinion, there should be a different set of ranked icon for TFT that looks impressive but much different from summoner rift, but the rank should still be shown. IMO i am proud of my tft rank even as a masters player in solo duo but i want a different icon for it

because that is how rank always work, they show it mainly your highest role, is not just tft, if you were like diamond 2 on twisted treeline and bronze on sr the first thing you would see on your profile would be diamond armor for tt
