Slightly unfair new season rankings?
Alright, here's what I've seen. After winning seven out of ten games of my promotional series, I was actually demoted. This is frustrating to me, and I was wondering what the rationale behind this is.

Deep Terror Nami2 votesYour placement is determined by where your MMR was prior to the new season. Prior seasons, doing good in the placement matches could get you a huge promotion into a tier you in no way belong in (or doing bad could put you far below where you deserve to be). Now it's all up to how well you were doing.
Also, everyone lost some MMR so on average, most people got a demotion (even Challengers were knocked down to Platinum).
Stonington1 votesIt kinda sucks, but you gain like 30lp per win and lose like 10. So you rank up pretty fast.
