Your ranking system makes no sense to me

Last season was my first season playing league of legends. I went through my placement games, wont 6/10 with mediocre scores in each match. I instantly placed Silver 5. Now, I understand you guys reworked the progression to make it harder to shoot through the ranks, and with that being said this still doesn't make sense to me. This season, being considerably better than last, I played through my placement games to get ranked. I won 8/10 matches with all of my wins ranging from B-S ranks. Where do I get designated? Bronze 1. How does that make any sense. I'm genuinely hurt as I thought I did way better than Bronze 1. I mean, even my profile overviews claim I play at gold-plat levels in my matches. I just don't understand. Care to shed a little light on this one for me? Thanks.

You are purposefully placed lower than you deserve so that you can climb over the season. Riot seem to think it's more rewarding than placing you directly at your correct rank and then letting you to play yo-yo around that rank for the whole year.

Except that after your first placements ever they don't really know what is the rank you actually deserve, so you almost always end-up around Silver. I for instance was place in Silver5 my first season, whereas my level was more like Bronze2 at the time.

You are not supposed to climb. If you get too high, you will get bored and quit, thus no longer supporting the game or the game's economy. It's a $ system that most are too weak to see or understand.
