I've had to deal with sensitivity to bright lights and colors for a long time. New client (especially login) is causing me actual physical pain, makes my eyes hurt. Can we please get dark mode? A lot of places are doing it, and it really should be the default while loading. It should be a checkbox option to make everyone happy.

Even with tweaked contrast settings? Eesh, that sounds nasty... I agree, dark mode should be an option. If you're gonna go Gold-On-Pure-White, it seems reasonable to provide an alternative. It's not exactly a balanced pallet on its own.
You could always turn down the brightness and/or contrast on your monitor.
I do it for Netflix from time to time.
Or alternately, you could invest in a good pair of Ray-Ban® Wayfarer™ sunglasses. Perhaps something similar to what JFK wore, like this:

Imho riot got it backwards... new versions are supposed to be an UPGRADE on the older version, not a downgrade. Can we just get the first client back please?
If the client login screen is causing you physical pain, you need to stop playing games and get your eyes checked because there's something wrong with you.
