Why Doesn't Banshee's Veil Build out of Negatron Cloak? (w/poll)

So Null Magic Mantle has 25 magic resist, Negatron Cloak has 40, and Banshee's Veil has 60.

But as its recipe is now, Banshee's builds out of Mantle and not Cloak, forcing players to sit on 800 good until they can combine Mantle with their other items.

Just adding Cloak to the build path would have no downside, while giving players a smoother build path for an item which, to my understanding, is intended to be a defensive, reactionary purchase.

Or is that meant to be an intentional barrier to entry for the item?

Not complaining in any way about this post AT ALL. I 100% agree.

But isn't this the reason they removed the old cloak abyssal scepter and replaced it with the mantle banshee's veil build we have now? It stops mages from having such a powerspike being able to sit on that item.

(STILL THOUGH I AGREE WE SHOULD GET THE CLOAK!)

While it would be a buff to an already strong item, it does feel awful to only be able to hold a Null Magic Mantle if I want to have the Magic Resist over the AP while crafting the item. I support this change.

so item 3102 currently is built from item 3108 + item 1033 + item 1026

and you want it to go to item 3108 + item 1057 + item 1026 ?

I would guess it's to keep people from rushing negatron cloak against AP assassins like Leblanc, Fizz, and Akali. Negatron rush is one of the strongest items against AP burst damage and being able to build it straight into a banshees could be too strong.
