Bad luck everywhere

SO i just played a game as a fed kat, teams are all full build and pretty even, we ace them but can't push because 3 inhibs down... lol, so they go up and obviously they are going to baron so i ward it and wait for them. We could have contested it with more than just me but team thought we could defend after they get baron.... so they don't see me and i have a ward there, i shunpo in, and they are surprised because for like 2 seconds no smite goes off or any attacks, baron is literally 1 hit away, and i have instant W with Echo dmg.... BUT THE SECOND I JUMP IN, BARON DECIDES TO ONLY KNOCK ME UP SO IM SLAMMING W FOR MY LIFE AND IT NEVER GOES OFF, AND THEN THEY KILL ME (THIS WHOLE TIME I WAS IN THE PIT BARON WAS 1 HIT AWAY) AND THEN AFTER I DIE THEY KILL BARON.... how the hell does baron only knock me up the .000001 second i jump in, it takes under 1 second to E W but no, in-between that millisecond baron has to knock only me up, and then my team proceeds to tell everyone to report me for dying
