What if merc treads isnt useless?

Merd treads are just the anti control mage item and It's not a coincidence that champs like Lux, Anivia, Annie, Morgana, etc. all have stuns or snares and not knockups.

And yes, I know you'll growl and hiss that your favorite class has even more counterbuild options but ranged hard CC really does need more counterplay. There's a reason that the list of ranged knockups in the game is both short and filled with significant delay such as Nautilus ultimate, Taliyah W, and Azir ultimate.

They're not useless just because they lost 5% tenacity.
