Is there any way to not lose lp when someone goes afk in a ranked game? Our teams evelyn fed pretty badly then left the match, just wondering if theres a way to dodge a loss of lp in this instance.

Nope. This is yet another reason why I think using your random team's collective performance as the sole factor in determining your solo que elo is a terrible idea.

No, because Riot thinks this idea can be abused. They don't want someone preventing his teammate to not lose LP by afk. I mean, if the game is about to be lost like 3-20 then someone could just afk and save the rest from losing LP (duos can do this). But I've posted a good idea below, please read and share if you agree to it. It voids the "abuse" idea Riot has so it's a better AFK management idea in my opinion.

instead of the idea preventing his teammate to lose lp, how about demoting the afk, or making him pay twice or triple the lp his teammate lose? or AFK/leaving game/bad behavior to be shown in champion pick, and vote kick? how about a better way to threat the afk? or make them uninstall the game? we have 5 mins of waiting for those who afk too much, how about making it even worst for those who afk in rank? 30min at least and up to 1 hour? we give bad players chance to be better anyway, but if they not gonna change, why being mercy? its not like they gonna get back anything when they spend their time and money in LOL or RP... give them a perm ban or something, and if they want to play, they can create a new account, play with bots till lv5, and start to behave better... its not that complicated, treat players like how law treat crime

for 2 games in a row I had afkers or dcs. A sivir who gets upset she dies despite its we have 4-1 and more objectives she decides to feed because its "gg" goes dc then comes back at 20 mins then we agree didn't surrender she runs to the enemy and feed the 0/4 shyvana I stomped in lane to a 5/4 shyvana including other laners.
