7-3 placement. (last season gold IV, now silver IV)
I even checked mmr from my last game. Last game MMr for both teams were 1400 mmr. I won that game, and I went down to silver IV?. Is this normal??

On average people place one full bracket lower than last season, and as long as you play like you were (or better) last season you will climb faster than someone being placed for the first time. Hence why the highest division you can be placed in after reset is plat, but there are three tiers above that, they just climb back up relatively quickly.
Craft Zeppelin1 votesyour mmr is still intact so you will return to your place fast enough. it may seem wierd but this system is needed to cull people who cling on gold5 or silver 5 back to where they belong, and give players that are stuck in well...elo hell a chance
