What if Yasuo's "Flow" had a different use?
This isn't necessarily a rework I think would work on Yasuo, just a "what would happen if we made this change."
Here's the idea: Yasuo's flowshield no longer exists. However, he still gains "Flow" from moving around, which is consumed by using certain abilities. For example:
Q: Costs 0 Flow on first and second casts. Third cast costs 35 Flow. If Yasuo does not have enough flow for third cast, it will instead be treated like a second cast.
W: Costs 100/94/88/82/76 Flow.
E: Costs 0 Flow, so you can charge up Flow with this ability.
R: Costs 50 Flow. The distance covered by the blink does not increase Yasuo's Flow.
The idea is that Yasuo now has to make decisions between the tools in his kit instead of having them all available at once, or immediately off cooldown. Your Wind Wall now puts you in a nearly completely defensive state until you can gain Flow back. You only get 2 (maybe 3) chances to cast Q and ult in the same fight. After a few empowered Qs, you get no more knockups until you generate flow.
The previous paragraph would be the result of the current Flow costs of his abilities. If we were to change those costs, then the result would be vastly different. Which is fine; I mainly wanted to explore the idea of using Flow as a resource. The example I came up with is just one iteration of tons of possibilities for Flow costs. Also, Flow generation could be increased to compensate for these changes. The point is, is that this isn't a set-in-stone rework idea. It's just an idea I wanted to explore and discuss.
