PLEASE Do Not Change Aurelion Sol

It appears as though they will be going through with the "highly experimental" Aurelion Sol W rework. His W will no longer be a toggle, and he will lose the passive move speed on his E. Basically the parts of his kit that made him different and satisfying to play.

I had hoped that seeing the massive amount negative reactions from his players would change Riot's mind, but it seems that it hasn't. I urge them not to change what gives ASol such a unique kit. I've come to really love this champion, and seeing him change for the worse really sucks. I'm sure there are much better solutions to fixing his pushing and roaming (if that was ever a problem) than completely reworking his main ability.

PLEASE don't go through with the W and E changes (Q change is a good QOL change, actually).

Well making few hundreds of mains sad, while opening the champ to thousands sound reasonable.

They literally cannot make Aurelion worse than he already is. Even the pros aren't picking him at the moment.

These changes are a lot more appropriate for what he should be doing, how he should've been made from the very beginning but especially without Abyssal Scepter and Rod of Ages losing the entire purpose for its existence - Being a giant stat stick that makes you an unbeatable god at the cost of pretty much any shot at a lane phase - and the loss of GLP-800's synergy with it.

How the actual fuck is this going though???? Riot pulled the Ivern changes because of player feedback BUT NOT SOL WHO IS ACTUALLY JUST GETTING KILLED. Like can we have the Ivern changes instead those actually made sense not the sol ones.

Loses early game pressure A bit better mid game A much worst late game

Those are what the changes due they're overall nerfs and they make the champion suck.

New Asol is perfectly fine. He still keeps his roaming threat while also being able to play the game since his 1v1 isn't garbage anymore and his main damage doesn't get turn off by even the weakest of CC in the game (Kassadin Viktor ).

He just can't do it 24/7 easily now that they removed the free movespeed from his E for good reason.

SHOCKER!

The W essentially goes back to a toggle when maxed. 2s at max rank, with -40% CDR is 1.2 seconds between casts if the CD starts when the ability ends. If the CD starts on cast it's literally the same. Plus it gives him bonus MS, which will help his kiting and give him something besides an ult to react with when he gets jumped.

They are trying to put an end to his 'shove and roam all lane with mitigated drawbacks' playstyle. Which is reasonable. He can still roam, he can still shove, but now he has to lane a bit more and falls behind harder with failed roams.

asol's early game is much much much weaker with this rework. at level 1 his w is on an 8 second cooldown, he can't clear waves as quickly early, and the passive movespeed being removed means he can't back as freely. These things together mean that while kassadin is a little easier, every single mobile assassin that he already struggled with is now a significantly worse matchup. Until level 9, he now has huge windows where he can't do anything, especially since he now relies on his q to push as well. his early game is now possibly among the weakest in the game given the meta. I really dislike these changes. I've been playing him on the pbe every day, and he just feels so so bad. I don't believe there's any reason to pick up asol anymore, because virtually any assassin ruins his whole life in lane, and he doesn't have ability to leave his lane as freely as he used to to relieve pressure from himself in bad matchups.
