Solo Ranked Ques When will it improve

I just started playing again after leaving the game for almost a year due to the poor state of ranked solo ques (that's all I pretty much play ) Thought id give the game another chance and try it again. Sad to say they have gotten worse it seems and though riot is doing great things to change champs and graphics and improve the game but has done nothing to fix the ongoing issue of its match making. I think out of 20 games maybe 2 of them didn't have anyone toxic or someone trolling because they didn't get their champ or lane. Not that its an easy fix and can be done all at once but it would be nice to see riot working on improving their ranked solo ques. Its sad that its an ongoing internet joke how bad it is and how often it makes ppl leave the game forever.

Just an idea putting it out there but wouldn't a team builder type que work far better for the solo ranks? For example ppl would go in and select the lane they want and be teamed with ppl that would fill the other roles. Then the usual banning and champ select could happen. This I think would prevent a large majority of trolling and toxic players as everyone gets the role they wanted.

Also, it seems the in game chat is usually teammates just bashing eachother or racism or toxicity. With pings available for any of the ingame needs is the in game chat even necessary? I mean you aren't gonna use the chat to say hey help me up top or gank coming bot by the time its typed out and sent its to late. In game chat just seems like a useless feature fuling the toxic players. People who duo or even 5 man team usually will use skype or another chat program to communicate live so there is really no need for the in game chat.

Also as far as moving up and down the latter in ranked which I think is a pretty solid system. I think it would be worth looking into if there was a way of maybe softening the blow of a loss for a player who did really well on the team but lost due to dc troll feeders or whatever. I know iv played bad games and feel terrible for the other player who did so well but just could not carry the bad players to victory.

I added a poll for ppl to vote so maybe riot will see if there is a large amount of ppl who agree ranked has fallen into a bad state.

Well that's my rant sorry for long story wanted to put this out there for riot to see and maybe one day the game will improve. Ill be moving n from this game as its had its fair chances with me but good luck to everyone else out there

They put a shit load of work into the Tribunal replacement, so that toxic players are punished more quickly and more efficiently. Your poor perception of Ranked likely comes mostly from your lower rank, where people tend to dislike where they are and take it out on others, or where more trolls end up because they lose more (whether on purpose or not).

Improving yourself and ranking up will help leave those people behind (though it's neither possible to avoid them all, nor get rid of them).

Chat is also not abused by most people. The vast majority of players are positive/neutral. They should not be punished because a few want to use chat to be toxic. Mute them, do not respond to them, and report them.

Also, not gonna lie me and my friends troll a ton and i have never even gotten a chat restriction and I am not a low rank and i hate Solo Q. People are toxic all the time and the team builder thing may work, but people can still go yeah im going full AP braum top. Can't stop me

Yes when I started playing again I was placed silver 3 I think it was and I know I'm not the best I work to improve. But iv seen ppl from all tiers suffer the same issues its not just ppl who complain bout there role there are games where ppl will just run down lanes to feed. The tribunal is great but I don't think it catches as many as ppl think it does. I ve seen my friend dc from 90% of his games and never be warned or banned. I did see one guy get banned from chat for being nasty but it was a month after the game happened and I'm sure he raged at many more ppl in that month period before the ban. And speaking of the chat I don't see how its a punishment to remove it, I honestly do not see what purpose the chat serves the game there is no positive significance to having the in game chat. sure you can talk while playing but then if you are doing that your not playing the game and its nice to hear praise during the game but I think taking out all the negative chat far outweighs the small praise here and there.

A lot of people use chat for strategy. Getting rid of that is detrimental to the gameplay itself just to stop a few bad apples. Use the mute function or move the chat box off your screen.
