-How often are they supposed to drop? -Do i need to have the client open all the time to get them? because i only turn the computer on on specific hours -Sounds dumb but, are the keys still bound on the owned champs only? Because that sucked, felt so bad to play free rotation champs

I have honor 4 and I notice I got keys only when I get honored in matches (after I relog in a 24 hour period).
I just hit Honor 3 a few days ago. -You do not need the client open at all times, key fragments are meant to drop between games when you're not in queue or when you log in. I haven't actually gotten any key fragments while I've had the client open for any length of time, only when I log in. -Key fragments are linked to your account and I believe the key fragment drops are slightly linked to the honor you gain and how many games you win, but to the point that it only helps a little to get more honor and wins -What I've found is that they made this system to regulate key fragment drops to be more regular so it happens every few days to a week (at least for me and I play daily) instead of the random key fragments you get after games before the honor update. Riot did this so players don't experience the droughts of weeks going on without getting key fragments or the sudden surge of key fragments that sometimes happen.
riot just fucked up with the new honor thing after the game i have played 40 games this week and the most are win but i got only one key from all the games and i got 3 honor in a game 5 times so explain me why i dont get keys
I just got back into in the game after a 6 month absence. I've played a great amount of games in the past 3 to 4 days and logged in this morning and received 4 keys at once.
Has anyone had keys drop for them yet? I haven't seen a single key fragment even after 20+ games. Just sitting here with three chests and no way to open them...
2 days ago was the first time I played since the new honor system came out, I logged on today and got a key frag that said "Here's a key fragment for being sportsmanlike", so it took time for me but I got it after logging in the next day.
I have only gotten two key fragments in the last week( I just came back from a month long vacation) but I haven't gotten any after those two same thing on my smurf.
I got honor level 4 about 2 weeks ago and i haven't gotten any key fragments ever since. I have played daily (at least 6h/d) and gotten honored many many times. Why do i not get them? My friend who tends to flame and doesn't play daily gets almost everyday
None of my friends have level to Honor 3 at all.
And none of them have gotten key shards.
I have more than 45 friends online right now because i was very active on the tournament scene.
IF IM RIGHT - Then Riot hasn't implemented a way to level up honor yet. And key shards are dropping at login.
I get fragments and no chests
Keys have still have the same droprate.
They drop when you play matches but you're notified later I believe.
I think chests are the only thing bound to owned champions.
There's more clarity in the honor faq.
You'll in theory get around the same amount of keys for the same amount of games played, they'll just be spread out a bit more (so instead of getting them immediately after the game, they'll show up later).
You don't need to have the client all the time. In a sense they can drop randomly even when you're offline, and you'll just get a message when you next login.
Haven't heard anything regarding champion ownership requirements. Since they're not linked to specific games anymore, it's possible you can play free rotation champs and have it still count, but it's hard to know for sure.
