Why should I lose LP for dodging a ranked game with trolls?
Just had to dodge my first ranked game ever, after playing the game for over a year. The reason I dodged is because during champ select, 2 members of my "team" were non-responsive to communication from anyone, and the other 2 players decided to play ADC Lee Sin and a non-conventional support.
DISCLAIMER: I've never played with any of these players and I have no idea of their skill level or history of champs in those roles.
My main problem is that I now lose LP because of other players, BEFORE the game even starts. I can understand losing LP because of a lost game, even though both a loss and a dodge resulted from the actions of players. But the fact that only one player is forced to suffer a penalty because an entire team decides to troll is kind of bizarre to me, since I was the only player to generally care about that game it seems. I can understand if dodging is a frequent action taken by players, then a penalty should be inquired.
Am I expected to sit through a game that (statistically) is a waste of my time so that they can lose the LP too when we eventually lose? Or do I suffer the LP and time penalty, and join with players who will actually play to win? It's lose/lose for me unless somehow, that insane team comp that my troll team came up with somehow wins. That being said, what if we did win? That just propels said trolls to continue in this strategy, poisoning other games and affecting other players. I cant report them for trolling, since the game never started and we never got to a point where I could submit something to the tribunal.

Thoughts? Any ideas on how to help prevent this from happening? I feel like a dodge forgiveness might not be a terrible idea, if it was something you could only receive on a VERY infrequent basis. Thank you for reading my frustrated post, and I hope this gets some attention, as I'm sure anyone in my position would like to see change as well.
