Considering buying Ezreal

So yeah, as the title says, I'm considering buying Ezreal. The ADCs I already have are mostly autoattack based (Jinx, Trist, Vayne, and Kog'Maw), and would like to try out a caster ADC. I know he's not considered that great of a pick now, but the few times I used him on free week, I had fun with him.

Only problem is, pretty much every time I played him I used a variation of blue build (Which was fun, for the record: SPELLS EVERYWHERE!), which is probably a bad idea in a more serious game. Should I still buy him anyway and just work on building him a bit more traditionally, or should I try another caster ADC altogether?

Ezreal's actually slated to be buffed in 4.18. Given that Trist and Lucian are being simultaneously nerfed, I'd say this is a great time to pick up Ezreal. Honestly, he's been a good ADC for a really long time, he's just never broken out as the best.

I'd say either Ezreal or Corki would be good pickups if you like that style.

As far as build goes, he's pretty versatile. As long as you're rushing Trinity Force, you're good to go, really. Blue build is definitely viable, tho it's probably not the best for every single game.

One caviot to the Triforce rush is to let your Support know not to be overly aggressive. Your support will assume you do equivilent damage to their adc, and this won't be the case. Just do them the common cutesy.

EZ is in an interesting, and awkward spot: His fun-ness is inversely proportional to his effectiveness. As someone who loves the playstyle of EZ, but despises people who take him ranked, I'm really torn on him. I've seen people who can play him well (rush BF sword) and can really stomp a lane and a game, and he has potential, but he's really fragile and weak otherwise.

IMO, he's a weaker version of Vayne in the current meta. If you enjoy EZ, try playing Vayne. Otherwise, yeah, get EZ and master that dude.

Just build traditional Marksman in serious games. :) item 1055 into an early item 1053 into a item 3031 into a item 3078 into a item 3508 Or what ever works for you.

So Infinity Edge rush is still applicable to Ez as well? I'd assume you'd get the Essence Reaver in place of where most other ADCs would build Bloodthirster or BotRK, for his mana costs.

I've actually heard him being compared more to Lucian in the past, at least before Lucian got his mini-rework with his dash and range.

EDIT: I probably will end up buying him, even if it just ends up with me playing in him Bot games with blue build for infinity.
