The Turning Point of League

League is dying. Yup, I'm sure you've heard that term before. Whether you agree or disagree is all up to you. As someone who has played this game for years I for once actually agree with the community. I mean has anyone seen the last patch? Absolute Joke, anyone with eyes can clearly see they just dropped that patch for the sake of dropping it. I don't think any meaningful thought actually went into it but that's not really the only problem.

The largest team game with no voice comms, lol really? An enormous company struggling to balance the game. Are you guys understaffed? I feel along with MANY MANY others including friends just don't find league enjoyable anymore. The game has been getting progressively worse in my opinion since season 5. You are rarely rewarded for doing good and when you are they throw you a chest and a key. (Good Job Timmy) The matchmaking is absolutely horrid, I played on one of my secondary accounts only to find a 200 MMR gap between teams, My team being all gold and the enemy team being all platinum. This is just one of the many games I have played to find myself at an enormous disadvantage in terms of team MMR from the get go. In my ENTIRE life of gaming I've never played a game that permanently bans players for talking shit or simply bm'ing and quite honestly with how much riot pushes players to play competitive how could they not expect this to happen? Its what fuels the competitive play in my opinion. I read somewhere that riot was going to be putting more effort into the report system like what? Are they happy with the current balance and game play for them to move on to less important aspects of the game. I'm generally confused. Adding two new tiers i actually couldn't stop myself from laughing when I heard this in particular Iron tier. This is seriously just a joke. They release more skins, emotes and cosmetic items then balancing the game because thats what the "COMMUNITY" wants (Redditors)

Now I'm not saying everything riot puts out is bad I have to give them credit when its due. I saw the new placement system for next season which I thought to be pretty cool and interesting unfortunately I won't be experiencing that and I people I know won't be experiencing that because I won't be playing next season. There's no point in playing a game where you feel outnumbered and almost like a minority. I'll admit as someone who is toxic its just insane to see the amount of snowflakes I have come across. There's been numerous times where I've hard carried games but end up getting reported for what? For telling my thresh to go ward the baron repeatedly and him telling me to "shutup your annoying" and apparently I'm toxic for trying to communicate with my team. Its just ridiculous I already know many people who have quit league for numerous reasons. The ones i mentioned above is really just the scoop. I decided i'll be joining them as this game just isn't fun anymore and when people I interact with in person and online tell me whether they should play league or not. I encourage them to just stay away and enjoy the games there's playing now as playing league is just not worth it. Riot has been trying to push out negativity so much that its actually become even more negative as a result. Positivity can't exist without negativity as there has to be a balance, riot doesn't seem to understand that. Anyways I rather go play a game that actually rewards me for doing good. This is actually deja vu for me because with many games I have played in the past they'll ALL started out almost in a similar way to League and the problems only continued to get worse as negligence increased within the company. Good luck to Riot and the Community at least of what will be left of it. Its not too late to change the state of the game but its unlikely they will. One word GREED.

Good Bye to all.

they buffed darius so he can go from his 50% banrate to a 60% banrate so in a few months they may buff him again for the 70% [slayer-jinx-wink]

Everything this guy said is not only true but why I mostly hit up Overwatch right now. Their events are a lot more fun and less focused on throw tons of money at the game rather than "pay for this, watch this, oh and there's secret missions and rewards but we won't tell you what they are!"

I just saw an ad for action figures of the pros - seriously. League pro action figures - people who get paid to sit and play a game with a team they can trust, in the role they know and excel at, with coaches and substitutes and VOD footage of their opponents - are you serious? Now for playing a video game you get an action figure? They have shoved Worlds down our throats before but it was a mild breeze to the tsunami of suck that is this year's worlds events.

Prices for skins get raised significantly, the cost for loot goes up with masterwork chests that rarely give anything better than hextech chests, 10 skins a patch with EXCLUSIVE MEGA AWESOME BUNDLE ONLY ICONS AND WARD CHROMA SKINS and all the other crap. Meanwhile 4 champs in the game are broken beyond belief, multiple ones are overpowered but easily fixable, and the only thing we focus on is PRO PLAY? A mission about play like the pros? Everything the OP said is true and then some.

Being a new player I wasn't there in season 5 but I don't think it's dying, so many people keep saying that league is dying and yet its player base remains one of the highest in the world. So I really don't get how it is dying.
