Katarina is overpowered

As above, resets on all abilities on champion assists and kills create an environment lacking in counterplay if cc is not in every lane, she can easily gank lanes that do not have it and snowballs out of control way harder than any champion in league currently. I understand that shes been a staple champion and has some problems in laning phase but having the power to penta a team lacking in cc just because they lack in cc does not allow for counterplay. My thoughts and i know that she has the laning problems but those are irrelevant if she can roam get one kill then penta your team...it honestly makes some comps completely unviable due to a single champion honestly

She has no cc or stun.

Just move out of range with her ult. Most mid laners have some mobility or cc to counter someone like Katarina. Her ult is a channel, so it can be interrupted or avoided. I mean, even Ahri can do it.

its not that i play mid lane often i main bot lane as an adc or support, so the counterplay in lane doesnt affect me but she can just walk down or up to get kills and get ahead or play off of teamfights, she really only has to safe cs in the beginning to dominate later.

Supports generally have some form of cc or peel to keep that from happening, not to mention bot and top lane should be warded. If a midlaner can just walk down and kill you, there is an issue that has nothing to do with counterplay.

And most midlaners are designed to be single target nukes. Adc's are the best when it comes to taking objectives, and midlaners are the best at single-target (and some aoe) burst damage.

Seriously, it's like Master Yi before you hit level 30. He seems OP, is spammed in every game, and gets a pentakill by rolling his face on the keyboard. All you have to do is land one stun (alpha strike can dodge it, sure, so you got to time it right) and boom, he's dead when people gang up on him. Katarina's the same way, not to mention in a teamfight she has to be in the middle of the enemy team to ult.

Katarina is a low-elo pubstomper, but can be deleted by a competent midlaner later on.

I understand cc and all but i seem to have really terrible mid laners who cannot deal with her even late game, its just hard to counter when she is already fed to begin with. eh i guess im venting but im tired of spam and most of the time it works even in gold

Best advice I can give you for dealing with Kat is to freeze the lane near your turret. Kat is really easy to bait so just have your jungle wait until she E's on top of you and then have your jungler gank and lock her up under the tower. Kat is useless if she cant get kills. Her entire kit is based around cooldown resets off kills. Meaning her abilities aside from W all have rather long cooldowns. Her E is her only means of escape aside from flash. So once she E's on you she aint getting back out. All you have to do is survive the initial burst then kill her.

In all honesty, she's OP, but can be countered easily. I just played against her with my friend and we went double jg. I was playing Sejuani, my friend was playing Mordekaiser, bot lane: Miss Fortune, Top lane: Darius, Mid: Ryze. We won, but I still feel like she's OP since the Kat went 33/8/6 and I went 6/5/28, but like 6 of my kills were stolen ;-;. To get to the point; Katarina is OP no matter how you put it, yes cc does destroy her, but she had only 157 AP and around 100 AD early game and she could end me (when i had full health i had 2,000 HP) in seconds, it was literally stupid how much damage she did. I also forgot to mention the Kat was trying to roast me the entire time with the grammar of a 1st grader XD.

I didn't look you up, but there's no way you're higher than Silver if you're complaining about Kat.
