Can't win lane as Jax.

Every game I play as Jax I usually lose lane even when the matchup is favorable towards me. Unless the game goes on long enough for me to start scaling I fall behind and lose. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong and how I can lane better as Jax?

Well you're supposed to lose lane as a scaling champion, so I'd say working as intended. But if you're losing favorable matchups, give more details like which champions and why they're causing issues for you.

Lmao ignore most of these iron comments. You're not supposed to lose lane as any champion, especially not Jax. If you go into a game expecting to lose lane you're a liability to your team, not an asset. What happens if a single other lane besides yours loses? That's the game right there.

You have to play very aggressive as Jax or else you will get bullied. You want to trade every moment E is up. Your kit means you can trade and do a tonne of damage and then back out before your enemy can retaliate. This means that even against bullies like Darius and Renekton, as long as you concede cs you can keep your health bar higher than theirs. All takes a 2 - 3 rotations to get your opponent too low to bully you off cs. Remember as any champ in a tough matchup, XP is always > CS. Stay in lane -> level up -> outscale.

Basic harass combo:

  1. Hit creeps a few times to get attack speed. If you're level 6 then hit creeps an even amount to get 3rd strike proc ready.
  2. Start counter strike
  3. Q
  4. Auto attack
  5. W for auto reset
  6. run away

If your opponent lets you walk up, save your Q to chase their escape.

Skill ranking:

Melee matchup: W -> Q -> E Ranged matchup: Q -> W -> E

If you feel like you need a shorter cooldown on E, put more points into E, but always make sure your W is maxed by level 13.

item 3077 and item 3057 are both good items to rush. An early item 1029 or item 1033 will also work wonders. Your first 3 items should be item 3078 item 3053 item 3748. Titanic gives you an auto reset so you can auto -> W -> item 3748 for instant 3 hit combo.

Seems to me that you're not buying Sheen first.

Just play Jax jungle. You won’t lose if you just study how to jungle because a jungle can carry 4 feeding teammates.

ummm honestly you are supposed to lose lane til, you hit your first item spike then after that depends on how you play it and who you are playing agaisnt you already scale hard op with items why do you want an early game too the fuck?

The first four comments really nail it. You are supposed to lose against most champs except tanks, you have to rush triforce, jax e is his most important ability and you can't fight without it. And you can watch hashinshin/other streamers to get better at jax specifically (I'd reccomend solorenektononly)

Usually what you wanna do is look at who your against. If its someone that depends on auto attacking (Riven Darius etc) you take E first and zone them, if your in low elo you can usually just kill them when they walk up to CS but using E and attacking then ignite. (If you dont kill them they are at a massive hp disadvantage and you should just zone them over and over when E is up)

If its ranged/non AA dependent go W/Q first and out damage them. If you cant then farm safely since you outscale almost everything.

Max W then Q.

Jax is pretty easy tbh and hes very strong IDK what your having trouble with, I use him when my mains are banned.

Well Jax plays differently for many of his matchups so just general stuff is hard to answer.

I have the same problem on Irelia though, i find ways to lose when i really should not and then i somehow win when i am supposed to lose x)

you're probably not playing around counterstrike. when it's on cd jax is basically a melee creep
